Well I tried to give CC-H tour a go again.Started off on fire with a -3 after 6 holes.Than played the remainder in +15 .Next round was almost the same finish with a whooping +14 for a +29 finish.Feeling completely defeated now playing any swing mode of this game on the series s Xbox. Not sure what else I can work on as my entire game is just total garbage. My slow feels like a fast miss and vice verse for my fast.At one point all I did was red slow or red fast every shot for almost 7 holes in a row.My only mode that I can honestly shoot under par in now is pro am.Which is pathetic, since I was shooting under par every round on masters a few months ago.Maybe I just need to put this away and play something else

PGA 2K22! Hoping... full of hope! I just play Beer League on my Series X shoting anything between level par to 8 or 9 under. Fairly realistic so I'm ok with it all for the time being but I'd really love to have a crack at the CC leagues.

Just go in with the attitude of acclimatising to Master before the new game and getting used to playing in those settings with no expectations on yourself.

You shouldn't need to calibrate it every time. It felt like that to me last week, but then I went away on a golf trip for three days and when I came back I didn't bother calibrating again. On Monday I had a day off and played three CCA rounds in a row and it worked fine, every miss bar one I felt like I'd done exactly what it showed.
This is where I find the inconsistency, some weeks it feels like everything is working as it should and other weeks it feels like a total lottery. It's not one way or the other all of the time.

Every time I calibrate my tempo is good after calibration. I dunno maybe it is the calibration that helps me with my rythym. I don't get this randomness others seem to have with tempo, when it feels off I jump into calibration and that seems to fix it.

Exactly correct! Once you land on a calibration that works for you it becomes absolutely pointless to jump back to calibration with every bad round you may shoot. Besides, I have a few test accounts from way before any nerfs or updates and their calibration is identical to this day. Literally the exact same timing.

Ok..now I can’t even do pro am on Xbox. Only way I can play this game is in amateur or with swing meters off.So I went from master swing CC tour player. All the way to amateur level or no swing meter in a few weeks time.I’m sorry folks. But I will never buy a 2k golf game again
And I got a few messages that were trying to be helpful. One chap told me to just buy a PlayStation. And another one told me to play with no meters on.I’m sorry, I love my Xbox series x and I’m not buying a PlayStation to play a crappy middle of the road golf game. This is pathetic

Just playing devils advocate here - would we all feel the same if this were occurring to PC and PS? The inconsistency is a real thing in golf. I'd love for the next iteration to make it hard on all across the board - shooting in the mid to upper 50's all the time takes the fun out of the game too in my opinion. I get that this is a video game but I'm perfectly happy in CC-K trying to just put solid rounds together.

The best thing I did was join a small society that shoots the same scores. It makes it very enjoyable. If these tgc tours get to be too much it is best just to leave and start your own . Or just join a small Xbox league like I found . If someone shoots super low we just ask them to take a hike. Or ban them

Not sure if any of them even exist on the Xbox version anymore.Almost eighty percent % of my swings all either red fast or red slow.I’ve been calibrating, practicing (range and on course). And I can’t get this anymore. This game is complete garbage now.And why in the world do I need to buy a damn PlayStation so I can be competitive again?Or buy a special controller, make sure it is wired, no headset hooked in, stand or sit at a certain angle.Complete utter BS.. all of this nonsense.2K sports can stick this where the sun doesn’t shine.HB sports sold us out folks. They will never ever ever get another penny from me

I don't know whether it was the courses themselves or what it was, maybe I was just out of rhythm last week but I felt like I had no control over the tempo at all. This week was like night and day by comparison. I felt in control and confident of what speed to move the stick to hit white or grey windows. Reds felt like I'd slammed or lagged the stick respectively. That's how it should always play. I don't expect to hit perfect every time, I just expect to be able to feel it when I've missed, rather than slamming it forward and getting a red slow which makes no sense at all.

HB on the subject:
I used to be in the don't touch the calibration camp. I used my calibration on game release day for 6 months then 1 day every shot I hit was a red fast.I am sure my calibration was reset to default post patch. After 2 rounds of frustration I recalibrated and back to good tempo. It might not work for everyone but I was hitting slight red slows consistently for 3 rounds on Friday. I had enough so I recalibrated trying to hit 10 grey to red slows. Played my next round and it was the best I have struck the ball tee to green for a long time. A simple recalibration seems to set the rythym for the day for me as I do have a few days break in between rounds.

Or ban them I get it.But why did they have to make all these changes? And make one version of this game on the Xbox (that was already the hardest) even more difficult? Why punish the majority of players who already were struggling but enjoying it.And than have a major update that turned the game unplayable? Makes no sense to me.None whatsoever For that .. screw your 2k sports

HB on the subject:
Yeah, I went ages after calibrating it probably around the beginning of the year until they updated the red penalties, even after that came in I didn't have any rounds where I felt like I was getting random tempos, it only started feeling like that in the last 2-3 weeks. Last week I calibrated before every round and it felt better, this week I haven't touched it and it has been fine. Maybe I was just out of whack last week I dunno, but it does feel completely different this week. I'll keep going until I feel like I'm off again before I recalibrate.

Is it just as bad on XSX?
I see it's on sale in the M$ store for $19.79. As much as I hate the idea of giving HB/2k any more money, this game is really the only game I play on PS4 now. And it's not like I'm lighting the world on fire. My swing is inconsistent - slows, fasts, etc - and I struggle to break par and make cuts in CC-C. Figured why not just have everything on a next gen system (XSX) and move on from the PS4.
I'm guessing you can switch consoles, but do you have to re-qualify if you do?
