@cd06 how do you know if you've gone full Carne? Hmm... well the Irish links I'm doing is caput, but I'd say if the dunes are monstrous and framing holes individually - plus barely sculpting the land to fit the golf holes - I'd say you've gone full Carne. (Also if you have 30 or less bunkers on the entire course) Since I assume jivesinator is still doing his Irish links he'd probably be a better person to ask  |

Fortunately I haven’t seen any of your hate courses, so I’m sure it’s gonna be dope! Honestly, so far I've paid a ton of attention to hazard placement, challenging the hazards will reap rewards, but there are a ton of fun shots if you opt the safe route. This course, thus far, is really a Frankenstein of styles, but they seem to be blending fairly seamlessly (we'll see what planting brings). That said all parents think their ugly children are beautiful. 🤣 I'm hoping to have all the preliminary surfacing and macro sculpting done by the 5th! So I'll have a much better idea of how polarizing this baby is by then... The best thing I could have possibly done was rip it up when I did and start over.... |

I'll share pictures potentially tomorrow or Saturday, but the front 9 is surfaced with most of the major sculpting done. Still 0 planting...
That said the reason for the update post is I've decided on a name - Rewiatana. I'm actually really excited for this to continue to come together. I have a long way to go compared to others, but I think some of the extra attention is going to pay off.

Haven't posted in a few days... Here's some update shots, generally to show my competition that really they have nothing to worry about! 15th - Short 117yards  15th and 14th Green - Short and a loose Cape design  6th and 7th -  10th - Beast of a Redan 237yds  Lot less lines in the designer than there were before!  Very very sparse planting to this point... Still haven't fully decided on a style. |

So I haven't done any picture based WIP updates lately. Mostly intentional as I try to figure my planting style out.... I have 50% of the meter used and still can't decide if I like it or not, but that's a story for another time... Today I'm trying my hand at this 'Club House' thing... Not complete by a mile, but I actually think I might have something coming together for once! NOTE - I am absolutely TERRIBLE at club houses.... So to even have something semi workable is.... staggering!  |

Teaser with Pics! (Note -- I have 3 holes I would consider to be basically complete, sculpting and planting... I have another 5 that are 75% there or so... Then I have another 10 somewhere between laid down and macro planting.... Lots of time yet though!) Any way... How about a little "How we started vs How its going?"
