Create a 2d water body directly over the 1st one and drop it down a few inches Will bring the grass directly to the water

NOT with the water that exists when you lower the land. For ocean beaches, you can put a large water object and slightly raise it, then add the second one below. I used that technique on my Saudi course for the contest.

Hi, I have designed a beach at the edge of the water table after lowering the land, are you saying that by adding 2 water bodies over the water table it will get rid of that ugly bunker edge at the water line ? So in effect there will be 3 layers of water (water table + water body + water body) Thanks so much.

So for an ocean beach, I placed an enormous water object at the smallest amount higher than the existing water. Then I created another water object and lowered it as much as I could. This gets rid of the borders between water and sand. You need to make the water objects very large so you can't tell they are above the level of the ocean from the course.

Thanks for the advice. I got that to work. However, I notice that the water flow on the water body is much flatter than the natural water flow / current on the water table ocean. I have a lot of ocean in the background which is outside the plot boundary and cant be edited, so the contrast between the current on the water body and the natural ocean looks a bit unrealistic. Anyhow it will come in handy for future designs.
Im a fan of your course designs by the way.

I don’t know how it would look contrasted with the ocean but I would imagine it would help a little bit. Let me know if you try that and how it works out, I’d be curious to know.

It doesn't matter how much flow rate or flow direction one adds to a water body, it doesn't have the same look as the ocean / water table. The ocean has tone changes which gives the effect of swell / waves. The water body with flow rate has no 'tone change, no swell.

You’re right though, with the ocean looking more like swell, it’s going to be hard to replicate that.
