First Half
East Fife are now sat on four demo marks which normally means that there will be some sort of issue with transferring the scores this week and everything will be wiped off. Failing that it seems inevitable that finally they will be heading towards their rightful place in the tours. A pair of 69's would normally be enough to solicit giggles from a group of teenage boys but in the world of Pixel golf it isn't really good enough. Tempo was pretty good and any errors were all mine until the sixteenth on Round One when a massive red slow was enough to find the OB. A quite unusually good approach managed to hold the top of the buried dead whale but the double breaking 10ft putt slid by. Second round seemed much better but ended up with the same total. Surely not enough to make the cut and probably bad enough to get the red to seal demotion and another shot per round in PGF.

Never mind the Sweet FA Cup, the Hokey Cokey Cup Final is underway and it’s all square at the break!!

Orlando played some solid football in the first half, but they will need spectacular not solid to have a chance in the Casino.
Round 1 -8
Round 2 -6
Onward!

Eventful first half for Carlisle, from the sublime to the utterly ridiculous....
Rd1
Rd 2. Playing well but not scoring, until I got to the 16th, had to declare unplayable because of the out of bounds on the right
Then on 18, I hit it under the greenkeepers shed...
Don’t think this score will trouble anyone...

I mean, I don't know much about real real golf but who in their right mind would put the hole the other side of a wall. Ridiculous even if it is realistic. And who'd be stupid enough to end resting up against it twice....

If only the original golfers back in 1832 had possessed the vision to realise that the course they were laying out over farmers fields would seem ridiculous to computer golfers, they may well have paved Paradise and put up a parking lot. I thought my driver would get me in trouble with that stream so I took a 3 wood and hit it OB instead.

It's a funny game, this Pixel Golf Football. On their march to the championship in Season 2, the Azzurri suffered but one blemish - a loss to the Mayor's Pirates late in the season. The season obviously turned out just fine, but the Italians wanted to enact a measure of revenge against the lone team to top the champs. But a wish and a dollar will get you a cheeseburger, not a PGF win, as the classic saying goes. The solid play of the Pirates was matched touch for touch by the solid play of the boys in blue, with neither side able to find the class at the end needed for glory. It's dead level at the break, and the outcome is up for grabs in Soweto. ((R1: 60)) ((R2: 62))

1st Round 67 (-4)
Celtic will be looking to build on last week's win against Manchester United, their journey takes them back to Luxembourg where they've previously played Juenesse Esch but this time it's F91 Diddeleng that lie in wait.
It was a slow start by the visitors who had a couple of pops at goal within the first 10 minutes, and F91 mustered one well worked effort. It picked up again in the next 10 minutes with McGregor and new signing Furuhashi being denied by Palha in goals. Diddeleng had an opportunity to take the lead shortly after through a well struck shot by Bettaieb. Then just before the 25 minute mark a Turnbull shot was parried out to the feet of Forrest, but could he guide the ball through the ruck of players in the box?

Round Three
East Fife continue their slow recovery from the Depths of Despair with a bogey-free trip round the 13th oldest course in the world. En route they picked up five of those little chirpy things to edge them ahead of the Mighty Sky Blues. Unfortunately they face a tall order to close out the match and the smart money is on a draw.

Nice to be still in the match for the last 20 minutes.... ....if only I could accept the fact I'm crap at this level it could be good fun!!

Round Four
Got off to a poor start and never even remotely threatened to win the game. The match petered out to a draw. 71 (E)
