First up in the Press Tent is of course Andi Smith...........wait, you look different. Did you get a haircut?
That's because I'm not Andi Smith, Bob.
Q. That's right, you are Jason Rosol. Spending another week in Europe I see.
A. Sure, why not? I've made 3 straight cuts over here, so I might as well keep it going. Although Bob, I was hoping you would realize that China is in Asia and not Europe.
Q. It is? Wait, do I work for the Asian Tour now?
A. No, this is still the European Tour. I can't explain why this is a European Tour event, but I'm sure you noticed we were in Africa earlier in the year, and we were in China last week as well.
Q. Anyways, how was it out there today?
A. Not bad Bob, Managed to shoot a 64 to get off to a good start. I really liked the course, although the greens were slower than I was used to.
Q. Nice start. What are your goals for this week.
A. As always my initial goal is to make the cut. I am off to a good start to achieve that goal, but there is still another round to play.
Q. Anything else?
A. Nope. Just have another game of poker scheduled tonight. Hopefully we have a good turnout, I usually make more money from that game then I do on tour. Andi is easy to bluff, and he has all of the money.
Q. Good luck.

Hello Acid. Good to see you are not playing darts, out there or in here. Gidday Bob. Has Andi changed his hair colour? What's he watching the basketball for?
That's Jason, you know Justamush, from the States. Oh right. Yeah he took Andis money and my spot in the cut last week.... ah good to have him over here!
How was the course today? I played it like Dogs bollocks. No disrespect to DDawg I really enjoyed it actually. Especially hole eight, the long par five that plays dog (hehe) leg -left off the tee. Really enjoyed that hole. I think I was two-over after nine holes and managed to scramble back to a two-under par seventy. Had a little bit of wind, enough to fly a kite you know.
I heard a groan out on the course, was that because of you? Yes, I hit a fan on the 9th. I had this large fairway to hit, needs s slight fade to find fairway and roll out but I duck-hooked it, into a fan... thankfully he was standing there cause it may have gone in the water otherwise. I gave him a beer coaster for his troubles.
That's very generous of you Acid. Its no problem, I had plenty.
I was being sarcastic. I know. Give me a beer would ya and grab one for Jason as well, get him tipsy so Andi can win his money back.... or mug him in the carpark!

Next in to the press Tent is,,,,
HI ANDI, IT IS YOU RIGHT?
Yes Bob it is me , three times I have been mistaken for Jason Rosol this week already, do I really look like Dustin Hoffman?
NO YOU DONT, BUT YOU DO LOOK LIKE JASON ROSOL? REALLY BOB, REALLY?
NO SORRY ONLY MESSING, HOW HAVE U GOT ON WITH THIS COURSE SO FAR?
Bob, practice has been a complete mare , I just cannot hit the right speed on these greens , making the cut for me this week is a big plus to be honest.
HOW DID YOUR FIRST ROUND PLAY OUT?
A Par on 1-2, followed by Birdies on 3-4-5-6, Par's on 7-8 and a Birdie on 9 for a -5 front nine, I was very pleased Bob, Very pleased.
WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER 9?
Oh yeah sorry , a Par on 10, a Birdie on 11-12, a Par on 13-14, then a Bogey on 15, a Par on 16, another Bogey on 17 and a Birdie to finish on 18 for a -1 bck 9 and a 66 (-6) first rd total.
HAPPY OR NOT?
Happy Bob, that will do me.
PLANS FOR NOW THEN ANDI?
Well im going to grab a few beers and join Acidman and Jason and watch some B/BALL , but I am not going to be any part of any card games this week , I am not going to lose out to Hustler Rosol again this week that's for sure Bob.
OK, IF YOU SAY SO,, SEE YOU AFTER RD 2.
Thanks Bob, see you then.

Hi Brad, you look a bit miffed? Not the start you were looking for?
No Bob, I couldn't buy one out there today. I started with a very clumsy bogey on 1 where I forgot to adjust the loft on my short flop shot!
From there I played some very average golf, my putting in particular was off today. I just couldn't get used to the slow greens. I missed a 6 footer on 18 too, where I completely misread the green! I got it going a little towards the end of the front nine, but ran out of steam. So 65 in the end, I believe that I finished with 6 straight pars? never good in tournament play.
Oh, too bad. Was the extra pressure of being world number 1 a factor in your below standard play?
Maybe it was Bob, I don't know? I certainly made a lot of mistakes that I wouldn't normally make.
5 shots off the pace as the leaderboard stands right now, does that worry you at all? Do you think that you can put today's round behind you and make a few shots up tomorrow?
I am going to have to Bob, I know that I can play well round this course, I have in practice. I just need to concentrate harder, cut out the mistakes and make a few putts. If the guys at the top keep scoring like they have in round 1, I might have to just try and get a top ten and settle for that?
Thanks for your time Brad, good luck for the rest of the week.
Cheers Bob.

Hey Acid. Grab a moment. Sure thing Bob.
I see the course is playing a lot tougher than the tour expected. What's your thoughts? I would have to agree. With my vague memory I think I was two-over (even for the tournament) after a few holes. I had to have a stern talk to myself which made the gallery have a bit of a giggle, seeing this Kiwi remonstrating with himself, gesturing wildly at the trees and swiping at imaginary caddies.
Yes there was a slowmo replay on the big screen a few hours ago. Well whatever I said to myself, it worked. I birdied more than not after that, finally carding an eight-under 64. That makes a two round total of ten under which I hope makes the cut.
Great news. Yes. And I see Bradley is World Number One. Excellent work from our tour compatriot. Along with Tom Morgan and Brionne, and a host of others nipping at their tails, the Euro tour is shaping up to be a solid contest for the remaining months.
What are your plans? I'm going to finish the weekend, then use those funds to fly back to NZ for a a quick RnR and see if I can talk my cousin Rangi into coming back and caddying for me. We have some beaut countries still to visit and some quality golf courses to tame.

In after his second round is,,, HI ANDI, HOW YOU DOING?Hi Bob, im ok thanks. DID YOU LOSE ANY MONEY LAST NIGHT?No thankfully, we managed to keep Jason away from the card table. JUST HAD ACIDMAN IN, DID YOU SEE HIS BIG SCREEN SHOW?HA HA HA , yeah I had first hand experience, I think it was on H4 he hoyked it in to the trees and after his second, from the fairway it looked like he was taking a pee , but then his arms where waving and you could see him arguing with what looked like a tree , it was so funny. Whatever that tree said to him done the job as it looks like he will be playing the weekend, good job Acidman, good job. WILL YOU BE PLAYING THE WEEKEND?I hope so Bob I had a better round this time out, I Birdied the 1st, a Par on 2, then Birdies on 3-4-5-6-7 with 2 Pars to finish the front 9 -6,but it was not to be on the bck 9 I had a Par on 6 of the holes, But I did Birdie 12-13-18 for a -3 bck 9 and a 63 (-9) second round so hopefully -15 will see me here for the weekend. WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS THEN ANDI?Popping to the putting green for a bit, still cannot dial these green speeds in, then probably relax with Acidman and Jason, but we will have to see. WELL THANKS FOR YOUR TIME ANDI, POTENTIALLY SEE YOU AFTER RD3.Thanks Bob.

Well this is a first. We have Acid Flashback popping in mid round. Whats up Acid? Bob, I need to pee.
Ok. Classy. But what are you doing back here? I dunno.. I "came to" and I was standing on hole 10, round three.
ooooooK? And? Round three Bob.
This is true. Why hole 10? I think I rage quite the other day Bob. I'm not proud of myself, but its the truth. I started, clearly cocky, hole one with a bogey. Pubknight knocked in a par then a host of birdies, five under at the turn..., I followed this up with rage golf, pars that should be bogeys. Birdy, followed by bogey followed by birdy with a couple of lucky pars thrown in. I am currently at par mid round but...
But? But two days have gone by. I can't even remember the speed of the greens, the contours, the nuances! Get Dick to grab a couple of brews for my bag would ya? See if he will caddy for me?
Hmmm ok will make interesting reading.

Back in the press tent is Bradley Garcia. You looked like you played a little better today Brad, you seem happier what was the difference?
Being more comfortable with the green speeds helped a lot, round one I left a few short and a lot on the high side. No silly mistakes like in round one too. The course is difficult, but you can go low if you play smart golf.
Do you think you can challenge the leaders now after a good second round?
I don't know about that Bob? There are so many great players on the leaderboard it will be hard. A lot players haven't posted their scores yet either, so it is difficult to judge where I am at the half way stage. At least I have improved my chances with a solid round, I just need to keep that up in my final two rounds.
Good Luck over the weekend and thanks for your time
Thanks Bob.

In for a chat after round 3 is,,,, HI ANDI, ARE YOU WELL?Hi Bob, Well enough thanks. Whats up with Acidman? SEEMS HE DOZED OF ON THE 10TH TEE, AND WHEN HE WOKE HE NEEDED A REST ROOM STOP.I did see somebody asleep on the Bench, I thought it was a Bradley 'Top Spot' Garcia fan, just bored of the rest of us, waiting for him to come through. NO IT WAS ACIDFLASHBACK, ANY WAY HOW WAS YOUR 3RD ROUND?Bob I had a complete mare on the greens again, too hard, too soft, wrong line but apart from that it was great . But I made the cut so I am happy. not going to moan about it. MAKES A CHANGE, SCORECARD?Steady Bob, a Par on 1-2-3, Birdie on 4-5, Par on 6-7-8, Birdie on 9 -3 @ the turn, Par on 10-11, Birdie on 12, Bogey on 13, Par on 14-15-16-17 and a Birdie on 18 to finish -1 for the bck 9 68 (-4) round currently -19 for the tournament. YOU ARE 12 SHOTS OFF THE LEAD CAN YOU PUSH ON?No Bob, only way that will happen is if everyone else above me pulls out, lol, must try and catch Tony 'Cant Beat Me' McGettigan, my 10-5 lead needs to be extended, lol. BRADLEY GARCIA SEEMS TO BE PLAYING WELL AGAIN?Oh I get it now Bob, I get it, Is Bradley your new BFF seeing as he is WGR No1 , forgotten all about Brionne now have you? And to answer your Q yes he is very consistant at the moment and deserves to be where he is. NO NO NO, I AM A MUTUAL FAN OF ALL PLAYERS.Then what is that betting slip sticking out of your pocket with Bradley's name on it, hhhmmm? ER. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME ANDI, MUST DASH.

Hi Brad, you seem to have found a bit of consistency now. How did it go out there today?
Pretty good again Bob. Another 60 so I have to be happy with that.
So you have figured the greens out then?
I think I have yes. I have never been a fan of slower greens because I like to drop the ball in the hole at dead weight, rather than running them at the hole. After my unsuccessful first round I think that I have got the feel for them now.
The course is great, a really good design IMO. Because of the way it is set up, if the greens were too quick it might become a bit unplayable on a few of the holes?
You've managed to get yourself to equal top position at the top of the leaderboard, can you stay there?
Well Bob. There are 11 people within 4 shots of the lead at the moment, so I will have to go very low to give myself a chance. I'm playing well enough at the moment to do that, if I can play as well as rounds 2 and 3 I might have a chance.
Thanks and good luck tomorrow.
Cheers Bob.

After round 3, it looks like Jason Rosol has found his way into the tent.
Q. We didn't see you after round 2, why was that?
A. Well you see Bob, I was looking for a new putter. I got frustrated with my putter and threw it into the water after my round.
Q. That bad huh?
A. I started off with a 3 putt bogey on 1, and it got worse from there. Managed to only shoot 69 (lol) in round 2.
Q. Looking at the 71 you shot in round 3, it doesn't look like your new putter helped.
A. That's the problem Bob. Since we didn't play cards after round 1, I didn't make the money that I was planning on. So I realized when I went looking for another one that I couldn't afford to buy a new putter. So I had to bribe a local kid with one of Acid's beer mugs to dive into the water to retrieve my old putter for me.
Q. Did he find it?
A. He did, but unfortunately I think a small shark might have took a bite or two. I'm not even sure it meets tour regulation anymore, but I kept on using it anyways.
Q. Anything else you want to add?
A. I just want to congratulate Bradley Garcia on reaching #1. Looking at the current scoreboard it looks like he will have a good chance at keeping that ranking going into the Match Play championships.

In for the final time this week is,,, HI ANDI, HOW YOU FEELING?Hi Bob im ok thanks, you? YEAH ALL GOOD THANKS, YOU MANAGED TO BE HERE FOR THE WEEKEND, HAPPY?Yes Bob I certainly am, as I said earlier in the week, making the cut was a bonus for me this week, so job done in my eyes. SO, HOW DID ROUND 4 PLAY ITSELF OUT FOR YOU?Lovely jubbly Bob, lovely jubbly, A Par on 1 to begin, then a Birdie on 2-3, Par on 4-5, and Birdies on 6-7-8-9 for -6 @the turn, Then Birdies on 11-12-13, a Par on 14-15, and Birdies on 16-17-18 -6 bck9 60 (-12) round. -31 for the tournament Bob, and sneaked a Top 25 finish, so yeah Happy. -12, WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?To be honest Bob I have no idea, but it meant a beat me ol rival Tony 'Lost Again' McGettigan by a stroke, 11-5 in my favour now Bob, but I must congratulate Bradley 'Wins Again' Garcia' on his victory this week, very well played and to all the top ten good golf, but I will save my last message to my drinking buddy Steve 'Make Mine A Pint' McFlinn on being here for the weekend and making some money, well done that man. YES IT HAS BEEN STRANGE HAVING ACIDMAN HERE FOR THE WEEKEND, LETS HOPE HE MAKES A HABIT OF IT?Yes now that would be good Bob, but it could get a little bit messy over time. PLANS FOR NOW ANDI?
Well Bob I noticed when I came in a crumpled up shaft in the bin, so im going to see if it is Jason Rosol's Putter he lake lobbed , if it is im going to take it and frame it and give it back to him at some point, lol , but then get ready for the Matchplay event and see how we fair there. OK WELL THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AGAIN THIS WEEK ANDI AND GOOD LUCK NEXT WEEK.Thanks Bob, take care, see you soon.

Congratulations on your third European Tour win Bradley, you must be pleased?
I am Bob. I thought that after shooting 65 in round one, my chances were going to be pretty slim this week.
57 in the final round, you must have holed everything you looked at?
Yes. It was one of those rounds where everything just fell into place. When I signed up for this tournament I thought that -40 would be good enough to win this week, so I was surprised that I shot lower than that. The course plays tough, but if you play well and get lucky you can post a low one.
Back to back wins for the first time in your career, can you make it three in a row at the world matchplay this week?
I have to say that despite being in good form, I don't expect to do anything this week.
The Challenge Club is a course that I really struggle on. I have played a few rounds on the original setup and my lowest score has been -6, my last two rounds being -4. The course is great, it just doesn't seem to suit my game at the moment.
My opponent in the first round Dennis Paisley is a great player. Last time I played him we ended up tied after 18 holes and had to go to a playoff. So I will have to really up my performance on this course to get a result there.
Thanks for talking to us and good luck.
Thank you Bob. Can I just say congratulations to Brionne Beaumont-Thomas for representing the European Tour and taking the title at New Orleans. He just about held off a stellar chasing pack with a one shot victory, shooting a fantastic last round 57.
