I'm officially done here, this is my resignation letter to Doyley to please demote me to the lowest CC tier please, as I have absolutely no idea how this game is to be played, I cannot for the life of me figure out how your all getting a consistent tempo, its absolutely beyond me, the more i'm trying, the worse im getting, leading to more and more frustration, I've calibrated time and time again, can hit all my clubs perfect on the range, enter into any Society and wham, what was a good Tempo on the range is either red fast or slows, i'm broken to be honest, really down in the dumps and completely dis heartened with it all. Good luck all.

Good luck all. lol if you only knew how perfectly well everything you've said here fits with everything I've been thinking about this game in the past week or more - I'm right there with you bud.
I miss the enjoyment, truly, and have consciously made an effort to not throw a tantrum and start moaning about everything, but it's getting harder to retain that enjoyment by the day when I just have no clue what's happened, why I'm incapable of consistency, why it feels so different on a daily - or even, at times, round-by-round - basis...sincerely frustrating, and a bit sad too since I've so enjoyed my time playing here and with this series. But right now, I'm in the wilderness with it. Is what it is, just a game, etc., but it's a bummer all the same. I'll keep trying while I have the desire to try and figure it out, but idk, not sure how long that'll keep up, we shall see.

I am having big troubles staying away from red misses since last Thursday's update. Hang on...what? What update last Thursday?

I am having big troubles staying away from red misses since last Thursday's update. Hang on...what? What update last Thursday? The red slow is now penalized in the same way as the red fast. Moreover, penalizations to splash shots have been increased, while pitches have become less penal. Have a look here for example.

The splash change 100% caught me out in a round already, I really didn't understand why my ball went like 5yds and ripped back off the face of the earth like it was on a string, but guess that makes sense now. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info. Something else that was not really said with the change to splash. You need to pull intent back too or else a "perfect" with let's say, a 70 percent splash will be a duff. Yeah. Pull it back to 70% if you want to hit a 70%

I've never moved the aim marker for intent, always played partials on feel so the golfer animation/speed isn't changed which allows me to develop better timing, as I've done since TGC1. If that has actually changed then yea, makes even more sense now, completely changes how I'll have to play short game shots...yippie!

Thought I was the only one. Both me and my nephew play partials at full intent, so there’s at least 4 of us 😂 The slow backswing just really messes me up. I always switch clubs and switch back to be sure the marker is all the way out, I do this before any shot other than drives. Hell I even do it then sometimes out of habit. From what I can tell so far BSmooth, the only danger is if you try to splash something less than say, 75%. Somewhere around that area....it could literally go 4 yards! I haven’t noticed a difference (yet) other than that. My LW splash is only 15 yards, so having to shoot super short like that doesn’t come up very often though.

I noticed it practicing for 60% splashes with full intent. Even when perfect it was duffing. Prolly due to the nerf to red fast slow on splashes being so severe and underhitting a shot will shift the tempo window right

Well thanks for letting this below average Kinetic player play in the show this week. Currently on the right side of the cut line but I suspect this finishes around -13 or -14 tomorrow. I'll be left lamenting missing a trio of 10-12' putts on green slopes on holes 10-11-12 in the 2nd round before a horrible 3 jack on the next hole zapped my momentum after having played the previous 15 holes in -10.
Time to hit the showers and catch the next bus back to Springfield...

Tempo was good today. -6 R1 with 6 missed 10-20ft birdie putts. Ouch.
We'll see what tomorrow has in store for R2.

Same here, always just did partial shots. Kind of a bummer that they’ve changed this. I can’t stand adjusting the marker back because of the slower backswing. I’d duff it every time.

I haven't put enough time into it for it to matter, but I think I'll be joining a few others on this being the last week I attempt to go out there. This is undoubtedly the worst golf game I've played in nearly a decade in its current state. Just a complete random mess from start to finish based on so many external factors to determine whether your ball goes somewhere close or 30 yards short of your target. What a shame that they've turned such a solid game in its first couple of versions to this. And don't get me wrong, the game has been awful from the beginning, the red fasts allowed most people to be able to play the game in incredibly unpleasant way ... but still have a bit of fun, and now that's gone. How bad has this been on PC and XBox? I haven't been checking up with the forums.
On another note, the courses I've seen in recent weeks are obviously great courses, but I can't be the only one tired of playing on the coast of Novia Scotia or New Zealand or in the Alps every single week. Especially for a PGA Championship.
Hope everyone can continue to have a bit of fun and maybe we'll get some positive news on something soon!

Yes it's slightly harder than ps4 but we don't let that keep us down. I had my best result full field last week too and feel good about this week (hopes to be demolished tonight I'm sure) Xbox is screwed though. A few are trying though.
