Thank you for doing double greens! Double greens are a dieing breed; they are currently being removed left and right in Japan as new technology has rendered them obsolete (as of 2017 less than 37% of japanese courses have double greens, probably even less now) . It's nice to have a course that remembers the most prolific Japanese Golf Architect, Seiichi Inoue, and his obsession with double greens Little late to say this, but I'm sad about this - maybe I'll do a Hirono tribute course after CC with a Fuyu and Natsu version

I don't think many courses there realize their double greens are wanted

Gorgeous course and really takes the Japanese theme and runs with it. The autumn colours are spectacular and the course plays very well. I got off to a flier being 5 under after 4. A mistake on my approach on 12 bit hard resulting in a scrambling bogey. So close to a birdy on 17 and the tee shot on 18 needed 1mph more wind for a 1 bounce ace... Loved the course and 5 stars!

I just played another round on Hideki and it captures the Japanese environment perfectly. From the colourful planting and the black pine like trees to the Japanese style structures dotted around the course. I also like the added feature of the winter greens which can be found on many Japanese courses. It's no surprise that this has made it into the top 10 as it's a beautiful thought out course.

Thanks Pat! Appreciate the play through again. Have to admit I am lucky to have drawn Japan with the very last selection but it was worth the wait! 😆

This round was certainly a rollercoaster, and my ball striking did not honour the reigning Masters champion by any means but I definitely enjoyed myself.
A very pretty course, the sort of gloomy lighting shows it off nicely and I love the little bonsai trees! Right from the first tee I kind of got Emerald Dragon vibes from the old Tiger Woods games, but less fantastical. I battled my way to five pats in a row before an eventful bogey on 6 - my ball bounced on the rocks across the stream to stay dry, but then I duffed a chip.
Two eagles and a birdie, but 5 bogeys and two doubles hurt me. Almost all of my shots lost were around the green, just couldn’t pitch at all. Interestingly, I didn’t know about the Japanese double greens until playing this course so that’s something new to me and I love that you did it; it’d be interesting to see the other layout of the course and how it plays differently.
My favourite hole was 7. I loved how each green is either side of the pond, that really worked for me. Also a big fan of 16, driving over the water and bouncing down to the green. It helps that these holes were both of my eagles, but honestly I just found them enticing and enjoyable.
I loved the environment - as noted, definitely had that Japanese vibe. I think the clubhouse was a bit of a missed opportunity as there must surely be some way to make an elaborate oriental style building to show off, but it’s a golf game, not a building simulator.
The greens were interesting. I always felt like I had a chance to get close when I hit a decent drive, but unfortunately I played terribly so this rarely happened. I did hit wonderful approaches on 1, 7, 15 and 16 from distance though, and those shots were well rewarded and felt very good. I actually nearly battled back, from +4 with 4 to play to +1 on the 17th tee, hunting 70 before going to pot on a brutally hard 17 with a nasty tucked sucker pin that got me.
All up, very good course. I enjoyed myself, even though I played poorly. Best of luck for the last ten!

has been ported. Big thanks to Panda for adding the assets. Few small changes, mostly softening the greens but they are still challenging. Added a few grasses here and there but meter was pretty much maxed.

I love hacking me up a badger course and played this the other day. Really fun round and the new assets took what already was a fun course to another level!
