I decided to join ye guys for a round this week, to stand by my kinetic children in their time of need. I finished at one over which I am happy with, I left 3 or 4 shots out there but can’t complain to much. These last two updates have not really affected me as it has many others, I have always played for perfects and tempo is one of my strong points, putting and swing line is what has me down in cc-e and I did miss a few short putts this morning. I do feel for you guys that are struggling and it was just bad luck that a tough course like this fell on the week after the update, that was not intentional, had this been played a month ago, we would be seeing a completely different leaderboard and scores. Stick with it guys, the tempo will come over time, we have a couple of easier courses coming soon which I hope will help build confidence again, I have faith in you all, good luck

Projected cut line even though it’s still early is +8 wow! Has that ever happened? US Open conditions lol. Maybe my -2 might hold on for cut. Thought it was even par but I’ll take it!

Lol...1 player under par at -2 I believe on xbox. What a joke. I wasn't taking a shot at the course hmammoth. More of the fact that now that they've "fixed" the game for the small percentage of the play it the right way crowd they have f'd it for 99 percent of xbox users. Small price to pay I guess.

this is a "hit your shot or die" course, and I, being the incredibly conservative player took advantage. My first round was shaky with some 3 putts but I only lost 2 of my glowy balls to the drink, my second round was a completely bogie free -7 where I once again missed a bunch of short putts.
hitting 8 irons on the second shot of a par 5? done! purposefully aiming to miss the green on several par 3s off the tee so even my miss wouldnt get wet? done! having 100% scrambling over two rounds? DONE!
72,65, -7 after two, we'll see if I can hold my form into the weekend, considering the lack of drop areas most water here is just straight OB and thus even one errant shot eats you alive

Tough test. Had a great 1st round, and finished birdie, birdie, eagle, for 64. Unfortunately, round 2 was not as kind. Seemed like the pin positions were tougher, and my tempo cost me a couple of times. A 75 took me to -5 after Round 2. A red fast on that long par 3 was deadly.

I really did not feel too badly about how I played round one at Asturias LAKES (emphasis on the lakes as you all know!). Only a -1 for the round, but that was due to two doubles and two bogeys exclusively from tempo issues. Fortunately I had two eagles to counteract some of that. Really my only goal here was to make the cut and preserve my two promo marks - we shall see after round two .

I promised myself I wasn’t going to get upset or cuss today but after playing a practice round for R3 in case I do manage to make the cut I broke my promise.
Don’t think I’ve ever had so many birdies and double bogies but managed -2. Think I saw a lot of water balls everybody including myself has been hitting.

I wasn't supposed to be in the Kinetic event this week after qualifying for the Platinum Open...but I noticed today I was still registered so I decided to give it a shot. It's not often a Kinetic player shoots -11 on Plat and +5 on Kinetic after 36 holes. Either way, looks like I will miss both cuts by 1-2 shots. At least I avoided demo marks...this was a rough course all around. Narrow, forced carries and so many pins on yellow and orange slopes (or surrounded by orange/red slopes if pin was green) makes for a tough event.

We did it guys, a new record cut line, we all dreamed of days like this and the dream has come true. I am proud of you all. In all seriousness, well done everyone that played this week, it was a challenge made even harder by the last update. It will take time to adapt to the changes as well as changing play styles, gripping and ripping, pin seeking will not always be the best option now, and pars will not be a bad thing. The changes will also effect course selection and settings going forward, courses already in the schedule won’t be changed but new courses will looked at with the changes in mind. It will be a learning experience for me as well and I will be paying close attention to scores, as well as seeing how people play in streams. A new adventure awaits us all, just like when the game first came out, and like then, scores will improve, so stick with it, good luck all.

9 birdies R4! Too bad I had triple bogey to start and a double on the back. Very testy course especially the long par 3’s with the wind and water everywhere. Finished -9 with 25 birdies an eagle to go along with 5 bogies, 5 double bogies and one triple bogie. On to the next challenge....

I have found it incredibly freeing to play the weekend rounds in a tournament where you made the cut so you don't lose any promo marks, but have no chance of being in the top 15%. That was my situation @ Asturias; it allows you to try the most stupid crap you would never do if it mattered, always going for the green on par fives and reachable fours, cutting over or through trees, stuff like that. Plus you don't have to spend so much time over putts. This did allow me to get two eagles on the fourth round, and the whole thing was very relaxing .

I hear ya sandaver01. Shot 82 last rd to finish 59th. Took a 10 on 2nd hole. Hit a perfect straight into a fairway bunker. 1st shot out went a little left and tumbled into the water. Put me back in the same bunker. So, hitting 4 from the same bunker and same result, but this time it dropped me in the fairway. Wtf!! Didn't care the rest of the way and made some birds along with a few bogs. Man, that was a hard course and conditions. Making cuts, but right now no chance of promo marks. Maybe down the road. Looking forward to Pronghorn Run next week. On another note, love to see lefty win his 6th major at PGA Championship
