With wind between 6-8 mph that is where I normally play my best rounds. Same with me. I cannot put a good round up without any wind.

I almost always play 2 and 2. I like to play my last 2 rounds after the cut is complete, makes it feel more exciting...especially if I'm in the hunt.

You could dampen it a bit. 4 tee rounds can hold them.back as each round has different conditions! So just publish 4 versions of same course for those with 1 tee location? Can't wait till Thurs for wind to die down as then.may be faced with 20mph in 2nd round It seems to me that some players play there 4 rounds in one go. When its only 1 version of the course it must be a huge advantage. Played happy yeti in 2 sittings round 1&2 shot 68 - 63 then rounds 3&4 shot 73-66 ( the 2 nd rounds shot 14 shots better). Could have shot 68 -63-60-58 ( 21 shots better ) if I played in 1 session. If its only pin location difference it will mean a different wind strengh & direction for each round. That's a bit of a stretch. I can tell you times when I have played all 4 at once where my scores got worse.

What I mean by that it is an example what ' could ' have happend if I played in 1 session and not a ' fact ' of what would have happend. Okay. But in the end not sure there is proof that 1 session over 2 or 4 is an advantage.

Just finished four rounds at blue willow.. wind started at 4mph and was 12mph by the end. My best round was when it was 8-10mph.

I think the idea of publishing 4 different version of the course might work. I have no idea what it takes to do this on a course design, but sounds like it might be a bit too much work though.

For me, the wind doesn't matter too much as long as it stays around 15 mph or lower. Unless an approach is favorable to play with or against the wind I usually play a fade or draw to neutralize the effect of the wind. Driver and 3 wood are the only clubs that are tricky to fade or draw because of the smaller cones.
