I just purchased a new xbox series x controller for my PC. Connected via cable so no connectivity issues, but I can't play the game with it. I know there must be a setting somewhere either in the game or in Steam, but when I want to play a round, the left stick will pull the club back for the backswing, but does nothing when I push forwards to strike the ball. I was using an old Xbox 360 controller without issues, but even if I plug that back in, I get the same issue, so I know this is not a controller issue, as it was working fine immediately before I switched them.
Has anyone encountered this and know what I need to do to correct it please?
Thanks all

Yeah I have done that, but nothing I do is making any difference to this specific action. The sticks work fine for navigating menus etc, it's just for playing, the downswing just doesn't do anything.
So I just tried something and it worked, but I don't know what it means for playing the game longer-term. In big picture, I just deactivated Xbox Configuration Support, so now I can play the game fine.
