I've been basically playing the same bag since the game came out, and feel like there is room for improvement, just not sure what to change.
Currently play:
294 Driver - any upside to playing something that goes a bit less? 241 3W 219 5W 196 Hybrid 180 5i 170 6i 160 7i 151 8i 142 9i 132 PW 118 GW 100 SW 82 LW
I have always tried to keep a good, consistent yardage gap between the clubs. The areas I struggle the most with are probably 90 yard shots and 230 yard shots, with those gaps. I think that is where I give away the most shots from tee to green. Anyone have a set up they really like, or any advice on what I can test out for my own?

To me, the gaps between your wedges seem large while your iron gaps seem small. Might explain some of the difficulty at 90 ish yards? I’d have to take a look at clubs when I’m home but I think I would keep the 82 lob but use shorter pitching/gap/sand wedges, then fill in the gaps with slight tweaks to the irons.

Agreed with the others. Imo the sweet zone is 14y gaps between the wedges. I use Purple Bridges at 100, 114, 128, and 138.

I go with :
9' taylormade 287 3 wood 233 3i 215 4i 199 5i 185 6i 172 7i 158 (listed 161 but glitched) 8i 144 9i 133 pw 119 gw 104 sw 91 lw 79
pitches give me 49, 58, 67 for lob/sand/gap (I never use pw or higher for pitches)

Ah I like these setups. I may try tightening the yardage up between wedges and spreading out slightly more with the irons. Also, tried out that 287 driver and man does that seem easy to hit compared to the 294.

Promoted to Platinum a couple of weeks ago and think it’s about time for a change of irons particularity. Any of you platinum players have any suggestions? I’ve been using the most forgiving irons and that’s great but really lose out on distance. Trying to find a better balance. Do some of you use the same manufactured irons for all clubs or any that Mix it up like 3,4, and 5 are the same type but the shorter irons another?

I try to have a pretty consistent gap on all my clubs, so don’t use the same brand for all my clubs. On plat the more forgiving irons aren’t ideal as there are a lot of long approaches. I use the following setup. It’s not perfect but I can hit most distances with roughly 12 yards between irons: Driver: 288 3W: 245 3H: 220 4i: 202 5i: 190 6i: 178 7i: 166 8i: 153 9i: 142 PW: 124 GW: 107 SW: 94 LW: 81

HoneyBadgerHacker You're on PS4 so you should calibrate wired, L/R edges, and play Purple Irons.

HoneyBadgerHacker You're on PS4 so you should calibrate wired, L/R edges, and play Purple Irons. Can you elaborate on what the L/R edges mean In terms of calibrating? Does that mean when I do my calibration on the 10 shots to try to hit 5 grey fast and 5 grey slows? Does playing with it wired into the console after that help or does it really matter?

I play PS4 wireless and have three points in the perfect window, left and right edge and in the middle. I calibrated wireless with 6 fasts and 4 slows as that suited my own natural tempo.
As for the bag I have had basically the same setup since last year. Can't remember all the distances off the top of my head right now but the gaps are pretty even throughout. The only large gap is between 5W and 4i, being 210m and 182m respectively. I'm thinking about ditching the 3W and adding a 3i or hybrid to fill that gap, I encounter more situations where I need a club in that distance than where a 3 wood is the best choice.

Maybe this is a dumb question but once I try this “wired” will I have to play with the controller “wired” anytime after I calibrate for it to work with multiple polling points? Pesky - thanks for the bag tips. Looks like I need to unlock Callaway sponser to get that 6 or 7 iron distance. Gotta suffer through those 119 greens!
