Welcome to Wingspread Prairie Club, a course that might look familiar to those of you who know about golf in and around Nebraska's sand hill region. This course is from the rookie design contest winner scottish67 who has come onto the designing scene with a flurry of amazing courses so far and this one is only adding to that list. We cranked the winds on a couple of rounds this week, as the region is known for its higher wind conditions so we thought that was a good fit. Good luck out there! Side note: There was an issue this past week with promo and demo marks. Doyley and the admin are working to find a solution. Apologies to anyone caught up in that, he hopes to have it resolved soon. Here is the thread discussing the issue: the dreaded promo/demo loop struck againFrom the designer: Wingspread Prairie Club is located amongst the other great courses located in the Sand Hills of Nebraska. With it's rolling hills, wind-blown sand dunes, and the native prairie grasses, the course offers a challenge along with a visual experience of prairie golf.

Absolutely incredible course.
I took a week off from playing (grinding on MLB The Show) and it was so refreshing coming back. No expectations going into round 1 and shot -13. Can't wait for it to all fall apart from here!

Pure class from top to bottom, from the golf course to the set up. Not sure the yardage but playing one round from a tee up may have added a little more variety but honestly doesn’t even matter. This course is one of the courses that got better when they nerfed the red fast. Much more strategy involved off the tee.
Putter let me down this week. -13 after 2 will have me sweating the cut line. Now excuse me while I forget how to hit perfects while I learn to make putts.

You might get to play it competitively elsewhere in a few weeks

Fantastic course. Having last week said Breton was my favourite so far this year, I may change my opinion this week. Great environment and lovely layout to boot - pure class. The buildings are incredibly well done.
Managed to find some form with the putter to sit at -19 after 2 rounds which should be good to get through to the weekend for a change!

On kinetic but have to say this is probably my favourite course for a long time... (shooting -46 helped) but honestly it was a gorgeous setting. Props to the builder!

played my rounds last night. Felt like I hit the ball well, but just couldn't convert as much as I needed to around and on the greens when I created opportunities to do so. Ended up missing the cut. Really loved the course and the Set-up though.

Really loved the course and the Set-up though. Pretty much described my rounds as well - lovely course - once of the nicest I've played. Think I went bogey free as well, just didn't hit enough putts or good approaches to make the cut this week.

Yeah, too many pars for me. Lots of close misses on putts, but too many putts 15-20+ft for birdie will do that.

Another fun course (easy for me to say since I played halfway decent). I again really liked the wide but rolling fairways, making you think about where you might want to put it off the tee for the best chance at attacking the pins. Greens, especially on the days they were running fast, were tough but fair. I chose to have a bad time with my green speed tempo in round 3 and my score showed for it. . .can't be that far off when the greens are running 187.
Only did one practice round on this course in prep but an 8 under and playing generally well in other events led me to believe that was enough since the course is very what you see is what you get. Opening rounds of -8 and -9 were solid all around. I figured 17 under would be a little higher up at the cut than just barely in the top 30 but just shows how close and bunched up the field is. 3rd round, as I mentioned, I had brain farts on the greens which resulted in a couple 3 putts on the front 9 and just scraping by to shoot even on those first 9 holes. Got my head on right to close strong with a -5 back 9. Round 4 with slightly easier conditions (and my no longer being really dumb on the greens) led to my best round of the week. Again not great on the front 9 (-3) but I blitzed the back 9 in -8 which included a walk off eagle on 18 from 145yds. Love ending things strong.
I was a "winner" of the promotion glitch last week and the single promo mark I earned got turned into two. While I'm not sure what my -33 for this week will bring, I'm sort of dreading possibly getting a promo as I really don't think I'll have a great time up in Plat yet, haha. But I'll take whatever happens and keep on trying to improve.
