This week we're at Carnoustie Cove by bennyk315 ! Carnoustie you say? don't let the name fool you, this course very much fits the Carolina Cup moniker with it's lowlands myrtle beach-esque feel. Unlike the moundy and hilly desert course of last week, this course is relatively flat and poses a much different challenge. Although very scoreable with some milder greens (for plat at least lol), accuracy off the tee is key to going low here. These narrow and punishing fairways MUST be hit or else you face some incredibly difficult second shots so make sure your newly found perfect tempos are on point! Ive already sneaked onto the course earlier today and nabbed an albatross on hole 10 so it definitely is open to some opportunities! Expect this course to be your last breather as the Platinum Championship looms on the horizon.

Still here... 😎😎😎
Some very stupid bogeys due to bad putting in round 1 for an underwhelming -9
Solid play in round 2 that could have resulted in a much better score but I’ll take the -11
-20 halfway
No demo marks I would think? Cut watching?
Best wishes Frans

I missed 4 short putts in rd 1 that just didn't break much though it looked like it should of for a -6. But I had a decent 2nd round with -11 despite a double water bogey on the back 9. -17 probably won't cut it, but it shouldn't be demo marks either.

I think both those scores will make it IMO

-17 as well. Happy with my play since last week I was +1 at this point. Glad I’m adjusting to the tempo change.
Nice to play a course that doesn’t make you want to pull your hair out.
I think the cut line is going to be LOW this week. Should avoid the demo marks though. I’ll be interested to see where the low end of the leaderboard finishes. While it’s an easy course, if your tempo is bad off the tee there is water in play.

Jumping in cold wasn't a wise choice. Triple on the first hole! Whacked it around the next 35 holes to end up at -13 after two rounds. Nice course! See you all next week.

Course has some narrow fairways that require real thinking. Was only -2 through 9 but managed to get it to -21 at the cut. Who knows if that will be good enough. Great course selection post-fast era. This one will present some tempo issues.

-26 at the cut without making a putt of note. Managed to stymie myself behind the only tree on the course on 14 R1 😅 the ol aim for it and you’ll probably miss it theory didn’t quite work out.

After an extended stay in elite, I've returned thanks to the promopocalypse after a win last week. Kept the form up, even with a good amount of tempos that I missed that I normally don't miss. I could see the winner being anywhere from the low -50s to the insane -60s. The perfect tempo guys are gonna eat this course alive.

Lol. -5 through 2. Looking forward to my 2 demo marks! Managed to find every pond, river, or lake on the course, and did my best to make a mess of the greens.

Opened with -14 despite struggling a little with tempo - but every shot got a good result. Continued in the same vein in R2, with -10........
Steady start to R3, then on about the 6th, my missus decided to tickle my feet for some reason, resulting in whacking the putt wway past - bogey. (biting tongue to not tell her where to go!) Then reached the 9th - played safe and laid up - but RF tempo got me and I ended up supposedly with a water lie (on top of the retaining wall) - two wedges which went about 60yds left into OOB meant I did well to one putt for a quad! (definitely biting tongue even more) Eventually (in both R3 and R4) had to birdie 17 and 18 each time for stunning level and -1 rounds!!
So summary: -24 at the cut (excellent), then -25 at the finish (WTF!!!)

Finished -44 - decided to put the Bridgestone driver back in the bag R3/4 as a risk/reward and it did not pay off lol. 87% FIR R1/2 and 47% FIR R3. -7 R3 blew it. Better tempo in R4 with it but all too late.

Hello, Having played this on Sunday already, I have to admit that I don't remember that many details of my adventure. I noticed, however, that this course contrasts the one from last week quite a lot. Still, I felt like the gentle conditions made this setup pretty deceptive in the sense that it looked like an easy course, but it isn't. A badly timed missed tempo got you in trouble immediately. And so I consequently found the water on the shortish risk-reward par 4 twice. As a result, this week will probably mark another episode of 'up mup, the asymptote - getting close to the cut line without crossing it'. Cheers and good luck all

-20 at the turn.
I've been tinkering with the less forgiving clubs, which I used this week. On the one hand, it's nice being able to carry a 3 iron 215 yards. On the other hand, that tempo window is tricky.
