Pro is still fun on XBox - especially in your Brew Crew society. It's pretty much the only reason I still play the Beer League though.

The game has been out of balance console wise for the last 2 versions and the last two updates and the extreme differences in polling points makes the tours even more of joke. I commend the admins for trying to make this a cross platform site but it isn’t and we can say and pretend that it is but we are only kidding ourselves. A lot of good XB only societies have come together here and that is where I will stay. And as always, this is my OPINION.

Roll up roll up. Anyone for 2k22 Don't all rush at once now :-) I will honestly wait at least 3 months after the release of 2k22 before I buy it. Why spend money on a “Completed “ game when in reality we are still beta test this pile.

Not by anything other than the Microsoft hardware incompatibility with the tempo mechanism that’s been in the last few games - it’s been going on for years. Fixing a broken swing mechanic can’t be viewed as screwing the XB users, can it? Is there a train of thought that HB / 2k can fix this but as yet haven’t? Is that question getting asked over on their forums? For those with an XB1X/S - does the new fancy responsive controller connection not fix this? Is there info on the poll rate of the new systems? If the real culprit is the rate at which the controller communicated with the consoles then it’s either for MS to update it, or on HB to release and XB version of the game with modified tempo timing.

They sell a game on XBox so surely it should be expected to work on that platform as intended? They must understand the hardware they are programming for.

I’m playing the game on a series x using the controller that came with it I have 3 perfect positions. One on the left edge of the white arc one just right of centre and one right edge, I get one grey fast position on the left edge of the grey arc and one grey slow on the right edge of the grey arc. These positions never vary the rest are either red very fast or red very slow. I don’t want to re calibrate unless I upset something.

It is a Vsync problem also because there are definitely problems when I turn it on with PC. As this a real time swing it stands to reason the higher the framerates the more responsive and accurate your swing also VRR produces less latency as the software is not trying to sync the framerates to the TV/monitor. There is a reason why people that play competitive games would always switch vsync off. There should be that option from HB also I want to see how this game plays on Xbox with a VRR TV. The Xbox series X is a superb piece of hardware, comparable to a high end PC, hopefully the next game it will get the performance it deserves.

Fixing a broken swing mechanic can’t be viewed as screwing the XB users, can it? My reply: No it shouldn't. I agree with the Red Fast fix. However, it is going to expose the wide difference between XBox and the other platforms. I've always played for Perfect on XBox. After some testing, I realised early in the season that my tempo outcomes on Masters were either Perfect or Rubbish. There were no near misses. I quit the main tours and moved to Pro in the Beer League because I could still get a range of outcomes if I did not hit Perfect. I recognise that Masters is probably the right balance of difficulty for PS and to a lesser extent PC. It's not on XBox. Whatever combination of polling rate and refresh rate is causing it, the near miss windows on XBox are narrower than the polling accuracy. I don't blame HB/2K for this problem as it seems to be a limitation of the hardware / tempo combination. However I question TGC Tours' choice to go with a difficulty level that one of the platforms can't handle properly for its main cross-platform focus. We were always told that getting Perfect / Near Miss statistics were not reliable because many players were deliberately playing for Red Fast. That should no longer be the case. What are the statistics telling us now that everyone is trying to play Perfect?

I don't try to get into all the finer points of graphics and the performance of this game. All I can say is I play on PC with an Xbox Elite 2 controller, and my short game is further destroyed with the current changes. I seem to be getting many fast/very fast on splash shots in greenside bunkers that I never got before. It's to the point where I have swung and the ball barely moves. I was a below average player to start, now I flat out stink. The previous changes added 3 to 5 shots to my score. This change has added another 5 to 7 shots to my score. I went from around a par shooter to a +10 per round shooter. The game, in it's current condition, is infuriating now on the TGCTours master level. I don't mind shooting higher scores if the field does the same, but it seems some platforms (I guess PS), seems to adapt to the changes and maintain low scores. I don't think practice can cure the deviation in tempo I am experiencing.
