Welcome to week 31 folks This week we have a course that was designed by a fellow Plat player Cottyuk who made a tour version for this event! Cheshire Royal is another great WCoD course just like last weeks that has a subtle, realistic parkland style feel and brutally tough greens, so make sure you approach these greens from the right angles! Expect the winds to really pick up on the weekend!

Still here... 😂😂😂
Terrible round 1 and solid round 2: -3 & -8 for -11 and a missed cut and demo marks... so this could be my last week here but then again, that’s what I thought a few weeks ago. 😎
Lovely course but couldn’t handle the lack of wind in the first round...
Good luck all, Frans

Just an awesome course. I don’t love the classic, “country club” style courses usually but this was incredibly well done.

Epic choke fest rounds 3 and 4 after a blazing start. Still loved the track.

It was a fair test, and I played well for the most part, but hit my bad shots in the worst possible moments for maximum damage. I think I hit red fast on the long iron approach into #9 in 3 different rounds for a water ball with nowhere to drop that gave much hope of an up and down.

Excellent course. I played so-so in R1 and then poorly in R2 to sit at -8 thru two rounds. Maybe a demo mark, maybe not.
I continue to prove to myself that I am not a good putter.

Been having some tempo issues lately and had more of the same these first two rounds. 3 bunkers in a row off the tee to start R1 was not a good sign, and a lot of grey slow/fasts on approaches. Luckily putter was hot. No missed putts inside 10’ and making long bombs at Steph Curry percentages somehow keeping me in it.
Course is solid, enjoying it!

I'm baaack. Not that anyone would ever notice, lol. Felt like my game definitely improved the past couple of months on Elite, but didn't play my best golf the first two rounds. Especially with bogeys both rounds on the stupidly short 4th hole. Managed to scratch my way around with a 64-65 start and I feel like I never left since I'm going to be cut watching this week. Still, not the worst start to my Platinum return as I'm sure I'm safe from any Demo marks.

Platinum cutline purgatory continues! After starting my Plat career with 3 made cuts, I'm staring down my 6th straight missed cut, all free of demo marks, this week. I'm sitting -10 through 2.
R1: -5. A tale as old as time for me, unable to find the fairway coming in at 50% FIR. Happy to walk away with 0 bogeys despite always playing from the deep stuff.
R2: -5. Got the FIRs up to 72%, but somehow managed to miss more greens, and turned in 3 bogeys (including one on a Par 5).
In both cases my practice rounds were -11 immediately preceding the real thing... onwards! Good luck to everybody else this week.

Hello. For some reason (I'm just nervous *cough*) I can't get out of the gate in my Plat rounds at the moment. Round 1, front 9: -1. Another great start in the books. Despite ongoing tempo issues due to overhasty mouse movement, I luckily collected a few birdies on the back. Round 2 was more of the same, even though I managed to stabilize my swing a little. Funnily, I shot better on the back 9 once more even though the front feels more scoreable. Had another nice start in R3 (those conditions, though) and a very colorful scorecard on the front for an E at the turn. In round 4 I couldn't quite capitalize on the easier conditions. I feel like my game outside of Plat has improved a little further recently. Thus, even though I'm happy with my result, I feel like I could not entirely carry the momentum over to the Plat rounds. The nervous jitters had too much impact. Cheers and good luck all!

I've thoroughly enjoyed this week - both playing and watching. Thanks to everyone for the kind words regarding the course so far. I thought the set-up used by Q was brilliant. The first two round played so differently with those wind conditions, and although the fairways are wide, the very firm conditions really brought the fairway undulations into play and narrowed everything. It was also a plasure to play round 3 in v high winds, which are rarely used but really added to the tournament. In fact, a big shout out to Q who is systematically running through a number of conditions in recent weeks (a tough putting tournament followed by a difficult driving one, and now very high winds). I think this intellegent approach and analysis of how players perform under these conditions are excellent for tailoring future events. In terms of my play - I could have performed so much better, but isn't that the case every week. -17 at the turn, and a -33 finish will have me thinking of the vast amount of putts that were missed once again. If I am to compete with the best, this part of my game must improve. Due to knowing the fairways intimately, I managed to miss only one fairway all week! A very positive aspect, but again highlighting how bad I am with the other areas of the game. Thank to everyone that has made this week so amazing for me.

The fairway undulations were very well done, definitely was punished by runoffs several times throughout the week because of rushing through a shot, slightly missing tempo, and rolling off the side of the fairway. enjoyed that every shot on the course required thought and precision.

JK , thanks for the kind words I cant guarantee all the weeks will play as well as this one!

I guess I took all these different decisions and adapted to the circumstances implicitly as well, but I have to admit that I didn't notice any of the varying approaches (focus on driving, putting, winds) recently. I feel like such a noob. My only focus is on surviving the Plat tournament without any major damage. Things I notice are: It's difficult. Now I imagine all my fellow Plat opponents sitting there with glasses on admiring the strategic setup like
