Team 'Fore Skins' ? ? ? chflack10 is Ruhlio on these forums? I'm currently CC-F BTW.. So we have one Kinetic, 2 CC-C, and one CC-F I love the name! I'm pretty sure we won't compete for the first spots this season, but it will be fun! I think chflack10 is not Ruhlio, I haven't seen Ruhlio on this forum yet... I don’t believe he is....I’ll be on a lot tonight and tmrw tho if you’re going to be on.

Can I clarify something, is it the 3 best total scores out of the 4 players or the best 3 scores from each hole counting towards a total for the team

That's a point boys. If your doing stableford settings you cant play it in society?? Only the original golf club game allowed that. That's how swing and miss started as a stableford. You cant say your gunna count the strokes lol

We are aware that you can't do stableford in the society but we have our spreadsheet set up to calculate the stableford score. So yes we will be playing stroke in the society but we will be converting them to stableford ourself.

When you say stableford, I assume you are talking about the modified stableford scoring.

Seems like a simple fix to have stableford scoring in society but HB and simple fixes just dont seem to mesh.

I presume you have already thought of this is, say we shoot -5, -5 can be got many ways but giving differing Stableford Scores, for example
11 birdies, 2 triple bogeys, 5 pars Scores you 43 points
8 birdies, a triple bogey, 9 pars Scores you 42 points
8 birdies, a double bogey, a bogey, 8 pars Scores you 41 points
7 birdies, a double bogey, 10 pars Scores you 41 points
6 birdies, 1 Eagle, a triple bogey and 10 pars Scores you 42
5 birdies Scores you 41 points
Unless we are going to have to post scorecards, it's going to a hard time deciphering who scored what, unless you already have a plan in mind

It's actually very simple, there is no need to post scorecards as we have the scores of each round will be able to determine how many points each player receives. Example: if a player shoots -5 it does not matter how they shot -5 (eagles, bogies, etc.) they will still get the same amount of points no matter the outcome of the round. -5 will get you 41 point in Stabbleford, a eagle is 4 points, a birdie is 3 points, a par is 2 points, a bogey is 1 point, a double bogey is 0 points, a triple bogey is -1 point, a quad bogey -2 points, a +5 is -3 points, a +6 is -4 points, and so on etc. I hope this helps. Thank you.

I still don't understand how that matters if you cannot see the scorecard to determine scores. From what I've read it seems you basically have a chart that gives you the stableford score regardless of how you got there.. like how do you know if I shot 2 doubles or just 4 bogeys? doesn't matter total score is +4 and that = something... Like E = Something (base number) -1 = base +1 -2 = base + 2 +1 = base -1 +2 = base -2 etc, etc..

I also play in the 50+ Senior Society. Something really cool they do simultaneous to the season is run a 32 individual single elimination tournament. Just a thought, but if we have 8 teams of four, this would work really well for this society. Random draw, separate from the team event. Just adds a bit to the society and I really enjoy it.
