I'm really looking forward now playing masters as they've fixed the partial splash shots and added more distance to the red fasts etc etc . The mind bobbles as TGC TOURS have changed to pro and I bet now some of there organisers are fuming as I think if they knew this was gonna happen they might of waited to make that final decision and delayed the start of season to check out the update . First thing I thought of as well.

I played a round this morning on master. Really didn't notice much of a difference. Upon watching Cannucks video i do realize some of my off tempo shots went further. Not enough to give me a better score. Shot -2. This change if it is real makes my decision to stick it out with master a good one for me. Thanks goes to HB/2k on their tireless effort to improve the game. Even if they don't tell us what was fixed.

All the fixes have been applied. Red fasts/slows go further, partial splashes, fast splashes, all working as per Canucks you tube video of the update, so I'm not going to worry about a mistake in the number of it. rhino4life and I noticed this too when we were playing last night (BoB, masters). Now, I did see that red fasts were still quite heavily penalized on iron shots but off the tee, not as much and I actually feel off the tee now even with a red fast, is an acceptable reduction in distance. Even a couple of VF were going 250 yards instead of 220.

I'm really confused about what to do for next season. The scoring on the Tours is essentially back to TGC1 levels, which is fine, it's just a different mindset (again!). I've enjoyed my rounds this week and got myself in the mix after 2. I notice a few other BOB players are doing similarly well or better, I seem to be chasing digsb around again! There are Xbox players at or near the top of every leaderboard except Plat, and even there the 2 players we have look like making the cut. Going to Pro may not be everyone's cup of tea (including mine) but it does seem to have given us a fighting chance cross platform. But I do still prefer Master. I'm still leaning towards switching to Pro for BOB just for the continuity. Played my first round of BOB last night and my tempo took 9 holes to figure out after playing the TGCT round first. Maybe I should do it the other way round?

I guess I need to use these next 6 rounds of BoB to make a decision now knowing what the update did instead of being thrown a mental curveball souring my attitude. I am sure this will change a few more people going back to Masters here which hopefully is a good thing for those wanting to play on that setting. At least they did this before a season started for us.

PATCH NOTES: I read from the TGCT Twitter post the following for the latest patch: 1. RF/RS don't loose as much distance 2. Partial Splash/Flops are much more forgiving (no more duffs in bunkers)I did notice in my BoB rounds last night that I was still ok with a slight RF on a couple of drives - and I had a few 16yd bunker splashes that were definitely not perfects (got a RS and one RF) and it did not 'duff'... I was able to keep my 4 round total under par - started with +4, then followed with -6, -2, +1 for a -3 total. I'll take it.. As Giraffe72 mentioned - scoring on the tours is basically like it was on TGC2019 - which means that my 2 round -9 in CC-F likely will miss the cut - whereas on the season 7 settings with masters, I would've probably been in the top 20.. Though I am happy to see some familiar XB players near the top of some of the LBs, not sure it's worth it.. My guess is participation will ramp up for a few weeks, then players will be frustrated shooting -15 and missing cuts - participation will then drop off again - especially by those that just can't get tempo down on Pro or Master..

They are but that means a perfect swing on Masters is a perfect swing on Pro. The same isn't necessarily true the other way round!

Usually takes me a good 9 or 10 holes to dial in - so I generally will play either local round first - or hit a society that I play basically just for the reps - like Big Money.. Perfect center on Pro would be perfect on Masters - but the slightly right or left perfects on pro would be either grey fast/slow or slightly red fast/slow on masters..

WEEK 10 COMPLETED BAND OF BROTHERS
Congrats to the winners this week Alpha - blend123 -16 Bravo - digsb -16 Whiskey - horusphoenix - 16 Pro - Nicholas254 - 9 Some pretty good scoring this week as I though maybe the course would play a little tougher but it seems like a lot of over par warriors found some mojo. Craig now holds a 209pt lead on KillahB in Alpha with Alan holding a 203pt lead on Smijti in Bravo. With another great week Lab increased his lead in Whiskey that is too much to overcome. This week 11 major is hosted at the 17 Mile Club which was a collaboration with b101 and golfwolfuk who in case you are not aware....they are pretty good with the brushes. All four rounds are from different tee sets so you will see a variety of looks and conditions this week. Accuracy to the pins is paramount so with our 15th edition of the swing changes being released yesterday, its hard to figure out how this will play out. Good luck ladies...

This has been nothing short of a pain in the ass. OldManGaming606 - If you could get something from Austin that would be great. I cannot seem to get anything via Xbox or forum messages.

rhino4life - sorry to be the flip-flopper, but go ahead and mark me for Masters next season. If that screws anything up, let me know - I'm open for whatever - but have always preferred the master setting.

I am very happy just to play in the Xbox societies on master even if I'm blown away by Pro or lesser players. In tgc2019 i made PGA in first Qualifying tourney and each update it got harder and harder to make a cut. After the 3rd I quit tours. Then 2k21 I was CCA and ok with it but clearly at a disavantage #1 Console and # 2 i would never play practice rounds. Now with the change to Pro no chance I'll play. However next game I'll do the qualifying in hopes of an even playing field throughout the consoles. Thanks to rhino4life for being patient with this process in BoB and if you have to skip a week or 2 between seasons, so be it.
