I'm honestly shocked that the only thing that seems to separate Pro Tours from CC Tours is lie grid being off. Given the dozens of settings and combinations there could be, it seems like a miniscule ramp up in difficulty if you were promoted to Pro Tours. Agreed. The settings are really of no consequence. Really the only thing is no info on the aim marker - but the HUD will show distance to pin and elevation from your current spot. Scores on the top tours will be ridiculous, but it is what it is.. the majority really didn't like the 'somewhat realistic' scoring. There will still (and always) be a gap between XB and PS - but I am hopeful that we can at least narrow that gap somewhat with the new tour settings. I'd like to see more XB players return to the tours to be honest.. And more Xbox players will return for sure. We will also go back to comparing our results with our fellow Xbox community, as it has always been. Given the egregious disparity in console scoring (which I admit, will probably be worse now), it's all we've ever known

One can hope, right?

I like the settings. I have played several events now and do not really see a huge consequence in not have the wind speed number showing, the foot lie showing, or the aiming circle for either Masters or Pro swings. A few times I caught myself hitting the button to show me the foot lie out of habit so it takes a moment to get used to not seeing it.

Wind speed open, lie grid on, green grid on, scout cam on, etc. Thats how I like to play golf. For me as soon as you start turning stuff off then it starts to be like true sim, which I do not enjoy. I am looking forward to playing in the cc again and cant wait to see xbox players back on the leaderboards.

What are peoples thoughts on Season 8 settings then... I haven't played a round with then yet but will tonight before making judgement I'm honestly shocked that the only thing that seems to separate Pro Tours from CC Tours is lie grid being off. Given the dozens of settings and combinations there could be, it seems like a miniscule ramp up in difficulty if you were promoted to Pro Tours. Looking forward to seeing you get there. With the change to pro you'll be a top tier player for sure. 🥴

To be fair the only difference last year was the wind speed indicator, so they've actually added one! I quite like that the settings are similar throughout. Obviously the courses and set ups will be easier in the Challenge Circuit. I played a few holes on these settings for the first time last night. I liked it off the tee, not so much on the greens. I'm going to have to work on my putting speed....

We’ll all this back and forth between Pro settings and Master settings and I’m still in about the same place. Shot -2 the first round and thought I might as well keep it going and shot +6 on the second round.
I just suck. I’d love to be more consistent. Not sure if I’m rushing my shots or what my problem is. Tee and green are mostly fine but it’s everything in between that’s a challenge.
Enjoyed the course a lot though!

I did mention I would stay on masters for BoB, but I am seriously considering just switching over to Pro and be done with it..
I find the more I play on Pro - the more frustrating I get playing Masters. Maybe I'm getting used to only hitting perfect and Greys

Its a tough one but one that is out of our hands. We have been playing this game for years and this game in particular for a year and you cannot tell me we do not have the muscle memory tuned in by now to perform with some relative success. I could not do a damn thing last week to save my life. Last night I shoot a -6 on what I would consider a tougher course and it actually felt alot better than a -6. Today I could shoot a +8 and it would not surprise me. Same swing, same tempo, different results.

Being in my pro swing mindset, i started this tourney off pretty rusty getting a lot of red fasts and a couple red slows (perfect was non-existent) with a scrambling par fest on the front 9; somehow managed to steal away two birdies i didn't deserve the slightest. Went on an absolute rampage on the back 9 tho. With tempo getting better i got my rhythm back again and scored a 28 -9 to finish my first round at a very healthy -11. After the front 9 i didn't expect to be this far up the leaderboard tbh but this game seems to have its own mind.

I find the more I play on Pro - the more frustrating I get playing Masters. Maybe I'm getting used to only hitting perfect and Greys I feel you. Same for me here. Playing on master again today after being stuck with pro for about a week, and it just feels awful. And since all the TGC societies are on pro, BoB is the only society i'm in playing master, so warm up rounds in other societies are pretty much done with.

I'm not going to compete at the Master setting nor will I compete at the Pro setting but I may have a less frustrating experience wallowing in mediocrity at the Pro level.
