They have the easy part of the draw, so hopefully they get to the final. Before the cup started I would've bet all my money on England, given the quality of the team (individually), but somehow Southgate is managing to make things a little harder... We'll see what happens Southgate is a joke! Negative, frightened to take risks, biased to players not playing well, he really has it all.

Week 8 Complete Congrats to the winners this week:Alpha - chalkey84 -32 Bravo - Demonondalinks -21 Charlie - aradmcc -19 Delta - paulm912 - 0 BAND OF BROTHERS DIVISION TABLETough course for me. Per the norm the ball striking was fairly decent but the putting got away from me on a few holes which just ruined any momentum gained. Rinse, wash, repeat. Was a fantastic course by Mr. Dix. Seven Pines by @paylouvar is the next course on the schedule. It's got alot of the Carolina vibe of some courses I seen in the Outer Banks a few weeks ago. This one is a beauty. Best of luck this week. Going to head to bed after watching USA sh%$ the bed tonight. Still think the Uraguay goal was offside. Really stuggled in rd 1 next day I obliterated the course. Crazy how things go. I was -12 in round 1 and I think I am around even par in round 2.

I made a separate post on clubhouse about this also. I missed the cut on CC with a -3 this week because the green firmness was messed with AGAIN in round one. In the first round of CC this week I shot a -1 because the ball would not stay on the green! The greens are set at 150 speed but they play like the 180 green speed course I did for warmup today! This shakes me every time it happens and makes me blow up round two also. Firmness should not be used to artificially increase green speed! If you want higher green speeds, set higher green speeds! Right! now the green speed setting is being made meaningless A big point that I want to make is that there are no courses in casual play set up like this that I have come across or know of. Because of this you can't practice this new green setup that is being used. I don't think anyone besides the Rangers knows how to do what they are doing with the greens, otherwise Oldmangaming would have had this green setup in his practice society.

The way courses get set up for TGCTours play use the exact same settings anyone can use in a casual round. There's no grand conspiracy, trust me. Plus, in Round 1 on CC this week, the entire selection of settings being used are the designer's Default settings, except for a manual Low wind selection. So nothing was changed by the scheduler, except wind speed for that round. Also, green firmness does not change the green speeds. It does add rollout and bounce, but green speeds do not change.

Since you can scan the greens with scout button see how the beads flow. If they flow from to back chances are you will get more roll out on approaches. Use less club and put some spin on it.

Re-editing my post; It turns out that left stick dead zones and the d-pad getting stuck in the down position are known issues with the Wolverine v2. I've been able to clear this so far after this week's bad CC round by restarting the controller. The problem is if this happens in round I won't have any indication of it except sudden overspin on approach shots. I don't know if it is worth another US 300 to change to another controller.

This might be a "well there's your problem" thing. I also was playing with an injury and wasn't able to grip right;

With my controller sorted I shot my 2nd under -10 BoB in a row with a -14. FYI a -13 score in the Open Championship quals. I liked this weeks course, it reminded me of some inland Dye courses I played back when I could play IRL. Ya'll will get a break from my complaining next week as I will be off the course due to travel.

Week 9 completed.... Congrats to the winners this week:Alpha - DoubtfulObelisk -34 Bravo - lowtoe -24 Charlie - ss11 -23 Delta - therayaka -18 BAND OF BROTHERS DIVISION TABLEThis was probably one of the better collection of scores we have had in awhile with some impressive scores in the Delta division. I had a really nice start to possibly get up into the 20's however I could not buy a putt in the second round to save my life. Not much else to say. Getting back into the grind of working again after being on vacation two of the past 3 weeks. Did play some real golf on the 4th and really struck the ball well from tee to green. As in this game....couldn't putt for sh%$. No sense of pace and ended with at least five 3-putts. Overall was really happy how things went. Hope everyone enjoyed the holiday week. This weeks course is a collaboration with HoneyBadgerHacker and dr_golfdesign called St. Croix Bend. Course is really nice to the eyes and plays really well all the way through. Nice work by the both of you. Standard setup this week with a windy day and a calmer day and some variation in the green speeds. Enjoy yourselves lads.....

Howdy my fellow golfers, I have abstained from posting to much lately but many of you have become friends of mine over the last however many years or months or days or whatever. Summer and some tough situations have made it impossible for me to focus enough to put my full effort in this game. Gonna take a break for a while and hope I’ll be back next season. Rhino, money man, and to all the others who welcomed me. Appreciate you all. The one, the only, rac ‘em.
