Finished with my now customary Even in BoB this week. Ball would not go in the hole, I missed a lot of short putts too. The greens were marked 155 speed but played like they were 180 for some reason. IF THE BALL DOES NOT DROP IN THE HOLE IT IS NOT MY PROBLEM. It is the problem of the 2K Sports programmers who have failed to correctly simulate real life putting outcomes. I have played enough real and mini golf to know that these putts that are missing would be in the hole in real life! When a problem is caused by something that is not me, I don't put in effort to try to fix or correct it is because it is not my problem. Let me give you an IRL example of this attitude. My HOA/Council whatever you call it messed up there payment system so it no longer works for Mac OS online or Android. I told them I will see you in court and you can explain to the judge how you made my default not my problem by making it impossible for me to pay. I got this one zzfr33b1rdzzGroundhog Day!

Hey all, thanks for the kind words regarding the Ryder Cup - I knew going in that it was a must win and early on, especially after berty44 hit the Ace, I was thinking, ok, just make it respectable, LOL. Maybe it was playing from behind, but for whatever reason, I played it a little safer than I had on practice rounds and made sure I hit the best shots I could muster. Was able to take advantage of a couple of mistakes late and then never looked back. Hats off to Bert as that was indeed a great match. Looking forward to the '25 event if I make the captain's selection. Cheers all !

Slightly off topic... Well off topic to be honest... My brother is currently in Chicago for a few days after competing in a video game tournament in Schaumburg. Is anyone from that area and can recommend any decent sports bars to go to or other places to visit while he is there, he is staying up in North Chicago. Think he's gonna visit Wrigley Field tomorrow or Thursday weather dependent

Taking in a game at Wrigley is sweet. Museum of Science and Industry, the river walk, Observation Deck in the JOhn Hancock building, the Magnificent Mile are all pretty sweet. And take a cab ride....its not if they can get you somewhere....its how fast can i get you there.

' That is real life and not a video game. In the video game, consistent outcomes must occur.

Think he's gonna visit Wrigley Field tomorrow or Thursday weather dependent Cubs fan here from Wisconsin, just north of Chicago/Illinois. If he goes to Wrigley, he should pop into Nisei Lounge, it's kind of an old-school sports bar in the Wrigleyville neighborhood. There are LOTS of places to go in Wrigleyville: Murphy's Bleachers, The Cubby Bear, Sluggers, etc. Wrigley itself now has some restaurants outside the park that are kind of part of the stadium/plaza around it. There are several Harry Caray restaurants in the area, too. If he's north of Chicago, might be easiest to go to the one in Rosemont.

The Wobe/Chalkey match was an all timer. No doubt. Punch, counter-punch all round. I felt the same way most did when Berty sank the 30 footer on #2 and proceeded to ace (ON THAT PIN!!) on the next shot. The 4-0 I would not really gloat about. I had some pretty good playing partners in those rounds but I like to think I did contribute a hole or two. I played like ass for a good portion of the front nine in singles and I can be thankful Smijti gave me Grimbo, who may of been a bit rusty IMO. To be honest you were the stronger player in your 1up win over me and thetaffman , WoBe had completely lost his tempo in that one. You also weren't the only OG player to go 4-0 in this Ryder Cup, r0nrun also achieved this never done before feat for us! 😎🇪🇺 My champagne moments: 1. Agree with the chalkey84 v wobekillin match, unbelievable play from both of them. It was cruel for Chalkey to miss that putt on 18 for the half, even WoBe seemed disappointed. But still a fantastic match, gripping viewing. 2. berty44 , and no, not the hole in one (which was great!). His 4ball match playing with Taff, that game was finished on the 17th, it was over. USA already 1up, both Americans on the green with birdie putts, Taff out of the hole and Berty is on the wrong side of the green having already played 3. Drains it, both Americans miss their birdies and saves the hole, then holes a birdie putt on 18 (on THAT pin!) to literally steal half a point out of nowhere. Astonishing turnaround. 3. r0nrun holing his chip on 18 to beat Racem 1up and keep the momentum of that crazy Wednesday going. What a win against one of the top US players! Shame none of us could see it because the stream was glitched up - "Did that go in???" 🤣🤣🤣 On a personal note, holing a long putt on 17 to close out my alt shot match alongside horusphoenix and send moneyman273 back to his therapist 🤣🤣🤣 That was a BRILLIANT putt, Jamie

WEEK 3 COMPLETED.... BAND OF BROTHERS LEAGUE TABLECONGRATS TO THE WINNERS THIS WEEK:Alpha - DoubtfulObelisk -32 Bravo - lowtoe -19 Charlie - migbgolf -16 Delta - redrhinoceros -7 Great challenge on the greens this week. I do not think I have ever player this slow of green speeds with the amount of movement we had between the ball and the cup. Managed to to get to -8 through 14 from play earlier in the week and things were going very well. Played the final 22 holes today at a +6 clip. Just could not get comfortable putting today so hats off to the design (although I was getting kind of pissed). Heaton Hall by HoneyBadgerHacker awaits us this week. Figured a shorter course would be in order after the crazy three weeks of Ryder Cup action and navigating those greens for three weeks. Winds will be up but everything else is straight forward. Ryder Cup Recap: The last four or five days of this event was stupid crazy once we hit the singles play. Trailing 8.5 to 7.5 The USA starts the single play by winning six of the first seven matches through Tuesday afternoon however Europe stopped the rot with a victory Tuesday night. Europe has themselves a Wednesday to remember by winning the first four matches on Wednesday until maximolovely got things back on track with a win in the nightcap. This was a lot of pressure for a new player and he rose to the challenge and it appeared to inspire the team. Jeff( zzfr33b1rdzz ) took care of business in the lone match on Thursday setting up the final match on Saturday between Demonondalinks and Smijti . Todd played fantastic and cruised to a 5&4 win over the European captain and "The Cup" was returned to its rightful owners. What a crazy event this was both on and off the course. I am partially glad its over in order to exhale a bit. People may not think its stressful but it can be. And it was from an administration standpoint. More on that later. To the European team:Tip of the caps to you all. While you may have lost the event, you do have something we didn't have this year and I miss it. It's the camaraderie. Despite on the pre-Ryder Cup nonsense you were there pretty much there for each other for pretty much every stream supporting your teammates regardless of the score. Some may disagree and that is fine but despite missing this person or that person, you were a better team in terms of being there for each other, and you you showed me time and others time and time again how much this event means to you all. It may not win you a Ryder Cup, but you win my respect. While the USA talent pool might be deeper to pick from, you guys have what I want in terms of being there during every match for one another. To the Captain:I think you did a fantastic job handling the leadership role in the midst of all the bullshit. I know it was not easy at times and you were put into some tough spots but you led with class and it was an honor to be your adversary this year. None of what you had to deal with was a reflection of you in my eyes. I hope you consider the captain's role next year. To Team USA:Special shout outs to maximolovely , zzfr33b1rdzz , and Demonondalinks for being clutch when Europe made their run and our backs were against the wall. All three of you picked up your only points when we needed it the most. I guess I did a poor job in picking partners. I want to thank everyone on this team being reliable in scheduling matches, contributions made in this event, and even the exposure this society may have gotten from the streams from the rookies who played this year. I thought everyone won or lost with class. Hopefully everyone got a feel for how big of an event this is, got some good memories being a part of it, and takes some things with them in preparation for the next one. Because of all of that...you made my job really easy. I thank you. I knew this would be close despite hearing how formidable this team supposedly was. While we had a good team it may not of been the right team. We did not have the same camaraderie we have had in years past or in comparison to the Europeans and this is something we need to get to. Hopefully this comes with time. In teams past, many of us had played together for years dating back to the old CUCC days and more than half our team was new to this. I think we will get there and I know if we throw the full force of the talent we have at the next Ryder Cup, it will be hard to take the cup away. For anyone wondering....the next Ryder Cup will be planned for February to March 2025. This will keep us from drifting into nicer weather, more travel, Mother's Day, and Memorial holidays here in the USA. This was partially my fault for not kicking this off sooner this year. For Team Europe...start the process of getting your captain in the fold. Thanks again to everyone who played and/or watched the action. Look forward to the next one..... Fantastic write up Dave rhino4life and I thank you for leading us. Markus Smijti, I love the professionalism and flavor you added, like the intros of who was picked for the team. That was something you made up and you took the time to do. That was fantastic. Your demeanor exemplified what a Captain should be and I hope this is something you choose to do for the next Ryder Cup. I think that overall, our matches from both sides were scheduled very easily. Last year was quite frustrating trying to get matches to the point that it was officially scheduled. I will also agree that the camaraderie was more present this year. Not that it wasn't last year but there was a definite increase in emotion and investment this year. I was pleasantly shocked, surprised and fired up by the soft spoken Griff DoubtfulObelisk, who was so frustrated with his singles loss that he deleted his Twitch stream. That's commitment and passion right there. We all had his back though. Jamie's Giraffe72 idea about a single streamer was a great one and that should be an idea carried forward. We are a close knit group on both sides but still small, so why have two streams going and not have that jovial banter and trash talk amongst us all? There's nothing better than jovial banter with a side order of trash talk. No one on either side shouldn't feel anything but worthy to have been selected. As Jamie always has said, golf is a niche sport but our community has been tight for years. Me scheduling Friday night alt shot for over 4 years, Dave throwing me courses.........Ryder Cup, BoB. It's all fantastic. Glad to be a part of it.

It was Berty's play in that match that I thought he played fantastic and hoped it was a one-off.....then he kicked the doors in early against Jeff. I flung by phone out into the yard after watching the ace. My wife looked at me like WTF if wrong with you??? As soon as I said something about the Ryder Cup I got the eyeroll. Women will just NEVER understand LOL
