After three and a half weeks of exciting play the Ryder Cup is being handed over to the European team. Hats off and congrats to a well deserved victory. The last match may go down as some of the most exciting viewing I can remember. Just when you think you are winning the hole there was a clutch putt or chip-in. It was just a roller coaster of emotion for me personally. I think both teams come away thinking they could of or should of won this event which just goes to show how close the teams are in talented players. There are no excuses here as both teams put out the players we had and the Euro squad just made more shots. Some of the things I will remember the most was the moneyman273 hole out being answered by horusphoenix fantastic chip in. Then there was the ARH Semsi debacle on the 18th green, which I missed live. Even watching the replay I could not believe what I seen and I am glad that at the end of the day that did not cost them the event. Finally was the natural reaction Smijti had when the putt dropped on the 17th hole to win the Ryder Cup. "We did it." That was just great, even being on the losing side. Anyways, I am going to decompress now that this is over as there is alot of behind the scenes work involved for both club captains. We will circle the wagons and come back next year, hopefully with a little more hunger in the belly after coming away empty handed. Thanks to everyone in this community who participated both playing and watching the streams. Hopefully everyone met some new people who they may enjoy playing a casual round with in the future or a future rival in regular BoB events. Again...congrats to the Euro squad. Enjoy that feeling while it lasts. I was involved in 2 of the 3 events you remembered, So I witnessed them both. |

Other news, if anyone is on the fence with the Wolverine, Amazon has them for 69.99 US on sale currently. Just got mine today and out of the box shot a 2 round -19 which included 3 eagles and an alby at the TGC Practice site society. Haven't shot that well EVER in two consecutive rounds on this game. The Bird is back baby!!! Edit: finished the 4 round tourney at -39, holy crap, previous 4 round best was -16 |
