I was just coming here to say it was a lovely course and a real test. Puts a lot of pressure on tee shots. Like Aradmcc says I left every round feeling scores were there but i didn't quite get them except on round 3. Brilliant fun! third round was getable, however thats where I had a TinCup moment on hole 9 for a plus 4. Lol! We've all done it! I was just glad I read about yours before starting my rounds. The hero we need lol

I am curious what kind of scores came from this round as I have plans down the way of doing something along these lines again. sharky21 will be happy to hear the course was well received.

Sheesh, my first round was a shocker. Was in the water 4 times including twice on one hole. 4 bogies, a double and a triple

I'll raise you four putting twice....FML
Started off on the wrong foot messing with calibration and ended up having my hits both left and right of center perfect. No matter what I did I could not get the perfect swing to move anything back to perfect so I rolled with it. Bad idea. This is not a course you can spray the ball all over the place. 27% GIR so you can imagine the scorecard hemorrhaging bogies. Finished round one with 1 birdie, 7 pars, 7 bogies, 2 doubles, 1 triple, and a partridge in a pear tree. Back to the drawing board.

Well finished round 2...lets see, using my calculator...13+20...ah yes, f'ing +33 and I'm only halfway thru! I found water where I never knew existed on this course! Fast reds left me banging away with a 3 iron on most of the approaches for the par 4s...let's just say that per my Strategic Air Command days, my CEP (Circular Error of Probability) was a tad bit off. Despite the dog crap that I left, I did score three humble birdies! Oh well, I looking forward to the next 2 rounds...this is a 'lovely' course... Edit...I took a 10 on the back nine? on a par 4...I could not sink that putt for anything...

I was -4 after 5 holes, as I'm slowly getting there with my swing. And then I wasn't any more... Ugh. Good course though - ended up +6 after 4 rounds.
Next week will be my first rounds on a Series X, so we'll see how that goes...

My scores improved after upgrading the console and I'm pretty sure that's why. As well as maybe general stability of frame rate etc.

You just have to keep recalibrating until you fix it. It took me an hour last time! It's a pain in the arse, and why I only now recalibrate if I feel like I don't have any other option.

Nowing this course quite well and my pathetic play as of late (down to +12.4 hdcp) I am overjoyed to shoot a minus 3. Hit your spots off the tee and you can manage a good score. Great memories playing this last year against r0nrun and his enemy partner in the covid alt shot league (they were bickering the whole match, actually Ron ws quiet). Sorry Ron.

The absolute worst feeling... thinking you need to calibrate then recalibrating to a point where you can't poll on perfect and struggle to get back to your old recal...

I changed my equipment back to the original Hogan setup to see what the results would be in a practice round. Thinking regaining distance and sacrificing forgiveness would be a good thing. The results were not as good as I wanted. I gained distance, but was spraying shots consistently in the slow zones with the obligatory red fast making guest appearance. I'll go back to the forgiving club set which I played well for me last week. I have to remember that this is a tough course and just deal with it in a better strategic course management. Plus I need to force my self to shut the game down when my drives on the first 4 holes are red fasts despite trying to make adjustments. Again, I'm very stubborn. I'll give it another go later.
