OKay.....about 20hrs or so left in in this first week. Kind of surprised on the scores but some people seem to have adjusted well which is a good thing. Hopefully those who maybe struggled a bit didn't get too discouraged. Sorry about that mushroom cloud hanging over the course...I had to put on the hazmat gear to finish the 18th. Swing tempo was somewhat ok, but putting, or lack of, did me in. Looking forward to the next course! LOL..... I am still playing around with the club sets and what colors to use. I do not really notice much difference between stepping down to grey level clubs compared to the gold in terms of perfects or forgiveness. I played Friday night with grey irons and was on a roll early in the night but faded. Switched to gold for two rounds of tours last night and had a good portion of perfects but it was somewhere around 50% on approaches. GIR was around 50% which just doesn't get it done. And when I get a decent shot into the green it really irks me when I blow the putt. You can take a look at my scorecards and you can tell which holes were bad tempo holes....lol. I did spend some of the latter half of the round swinging without watching the screen just to try to do it by feel. Again....about 50% success rate. New week for societies so we shall see what happens.

Slight technical difficulties on the league sheet that are currently being resolved. Wouldn't be worthwhile if there were not some bumps in the road. Congrats to the winners this week at the Brothers In Arm Showdown. You all will be a correct answer to a trivia question one day. dansamp pistolpete ShivasIrons wizzfox It was nice to see that everyone who signed up to play actually played. That is awesome. Now we head across the pond for The Royal British Legion Open from Coos Golf Grounds (Hanis) designed by jivesinator . This will have its own set of challenges if the winds whip up in round 2. This will be an important event to start jockeying for position before the first major of the season where the points and pressure get amplified. Good luck to everyone this week and may the tempo gods be with you.

Yup, it all depends on how overloaded their 1965 servers are.

Welp...week two in the books. It was like getting mule kicked in the face. Tempo was just not there with any kind of consistency with maybe a half dozen TOTAL perfects into the greens. And its a shame because while the were greens definitely more difficult than last week, there were some nice slopes to work your ball towards the hole that would offset that difficulty. Too many fast results left me in the wrong area of the green which obviously making that putt was like wishing in one hand and shitting in the other. Fun course, challenging for sure. Hopefully you guys have some better luck than I did this week.

Rd 1, shot +3. This, for me, was a satisfying round after that unadulterated dog crap that I shot in CC this week. Looking forward to Rd 2 later. Should be getting the boot down to the qualifier slots next week, but at least I'll get to play 4 rounds for a change. Looking for a reset.

Yes I had a bad week on the Tours this week. Needed crampons (not Taffpons) to go and retrieve my ball a few times. Hoping for better when I tee off this one later tonight.
