Enkelin Creek is a fictional course based out of Finland. It's a medium challenge course under default conditions but can play pretty tough under firm/fast conditions. Suggested Settings:
Tees: Black Pin: Choice Winds: Medium/SW Fairways: Firm Greens: Firm/Default (175) Weather: Default

Really enjoyed my playthrough of this. Was able to play several earlier versions and it's nice to see a course come this far! The subtlety of this course is something I can really appreciate as it is something I struggle with, everything here is just class. Love the increased detail in your planting and the cleverly done waterways throughout the course, love the simple but difficult greens.
I dunno what it is about your courses but they just completely beat me up. Something I noticed as I've gotten better at the game is my perception of difficulty has warped (I thought Te Amo played easier than Asylum but it really does not lol) and now that we're both in pro tours I wonder if this course is really a "medium" difficulty course or if I just personally suck at steelvike courses lol.
Anyways, great track!

Anyways, great track! Thank you Q for giving it a look and providing feedback, I'm glad you liked it! I think this course actually plays as a medium/hard difficulty, so don't feel bad about your score. About halfway through the design I decided to increase the slope and difficulty on the greens as I wanted the course to play a little harder for the players in the pro tours. Would love to see this on the Elite tour as since this is fictionally located in Finland, but if it makes Platinum I would be just as happy.

American Open Qualifying Event #3: Stats That Stood OutTotal Participants: 517 Winning Score: -34 (x3) Lowest Round: 59 (R4)
1. Only 7 of 18 holes averaged under par. This was most likely due to the combination of length and conditions. This course was published pre-nerf so a lot of the holes play much longer now.
2. The easiest holes were 8, 9, 10. This worked out exactly as designed (chef's kiss). I wanted the scoring stretch to be in the middle of the round, sandwiched by some of the harder holes on the course.
3. The hardest holes were 18, 5, 12. Again, exactly as designed (chef's kiss). I wanted 18 to be a tough finishing hole where par was a good score as you just got done with two short par 4's (15 & 17). Both 18 and 12 were considered to be par 5's at one point, but I decided to make them long par 4's as the final intent was to make this a plat level course. I did hear some complaining about hole length during some streams, but that was only if they missed their tempo off the tee.
4. Hole 11 was the 4th hardest hole. This was intended to be one of the easier holes on the course (pre-nerf). I believe the creek came into play on a lot of the rounds due to headwind causing people to either lay up to a 200+ yard approach shot, or they tried to fly the creek and ended up wet with a missed tempo.
5. There was only one round under 60, and that was by the winner in round 4. I'm sure there were more, but I am going off the TGCT stats for the people that were actually trying to qualify rather than plat players just playing it for fun.
I would like to thank all of you that participated, especially those that stuck it out for all four rounds! I would also like to thank Q for doing a bang up job with the conditions and making this course play to it's truest difficulty, and also a big pat on the back to all of the rangers for grinding out some data before the event. I absolutely loved the lighting choices outside of the default setting witch is a hard thing to pull off well!
