Apropos of nothing...I just got a chuckle out of the fact that this course only has a 3.5 star rating in the game right now.
This might be positive news. It could be a fluke, but if people are playing it and thinking, "this is a very inaccurate Augusta", hence the rating, then perhaps it's under no threat of receiving the ANGC gaze.
Just going to throw my 2 cents here and maybe get some clarification. I’m not knocking the course or the considerable work you did in such a short time frame. However, to my eye every hole is still identifiable as You-Know-Where which is what I thought the problem was. It’s a very cool re-imagining of the course and obviously a ton of research and work went into it but I thought the idea was to do something entirely new just for TGC Tours that couldn’t possibly invoke the wrath of those Southerners. I love the course but I don’t think it’s different enough to resolve the original problem.

Weirsy! You have a big dinner coming up next week, don't you?
You may very well be right, but if something happens to this course, it's much easier to come up with a solution in a year than it was to come up with one in a month.
These have always been my reasons for optimism, though:
1. ANGC replicas generally only get censored leading up to Masters time, and to me it has always seemed this is due to word of mouth. Folks on twitter and reddit ask which Augusta is the best, it gets spread, Barstool picks it up, No Laying Up picks it up, eventually someone wrongfully tags 2K or the Masters, and then things escalate from there. I don't see this one spreading via work of mouth, because the general non-TGCT crowd isn't looking for a course that is a lot like Augusta, but not really. They want to play Augusta. We just want a course to play that creates similar feelings and won't get removed.
2. Assuming it survives the year, this is an evolving course that the community is working on. I only believe it will become less and less similar to ANGC over time.
3. My actual replica course is still alive, as is the par 3. So maybe this course has a layer of protection, since they would go after that one first?
My only cause for pessimism is that even though no hole on Fruitland is an exact replica, each hole has at least one or more clearly noticeable differences, if ANGC decided they don't want it in the game, it won't be in the game. HB/2K won't put up a fight, even though I think you could make a case that since no hole is an exact replica, this course is now no more of a replica than an autogen course that someone names Augusta National.

Thank you to everyone that has had input into this - it's basically unpaid work to support a community. Selfless and heartwarming stuff.
Fantastic efforts.

Really liked watching this come together in the forums here and on stream. It was a load of fun to play. Can't wait to see where it goes from here.

I have spent most of my morning clicking through the changes to all the holes. Apart from the routing (which flipped 9's) you wouldn't recognise the place.

That was certainly referenced many times. As for the modern course, though, it's already out of date again.

Yes. They should just bite the bullet and make 13 a par four. Can't make it any longer unless they buy more land.

Fruitland Farms 2022 has been published for the Plat Major. Easy to revert in the future if necessary Major Changes: - Complete Texture Change to give a slightly different look Old Texture: New Texture: - As pictured above, Hole 13, Green pushed back and land cleared, creek cleaned up and extended back with new green-site - Hole 11, Lake reverted back to creek oxbow found in the 1934 version - Hole 15 green-site pushed back left, Lake size increased and altered to be more of a diagonal hazard Smaller Changes: -4 new sets of manipulated tees for specific pins/wind conditions -Pins have been shifted around a tad here and there. -New Teeboxes on multiple holes for one-off days where they play slightly differently -Greens on 5 and 7 slightly softened - All bunkers remain untouched aside from Left greenside bunker on 3, Minor sculpting touchups on bunkers on 12/13 Enjoy!

Any guess as to how much longer the 13th will be? The EA trailer shows Spieth 228yds out for his 2nd shot so I would say about 50yds maybe?

EA won’t have the new tee on release they’ve confirmed but have suggested adding it later. There’s a LiDAR version being released on this platform soon (see under construction), I’ve been helping with the new tee on 13th. Using aerial photos we’ve guesstimated it’s playing 540-550 so a good drive will just get round the corner, leaving 230-250 off a hanging lie, a real risk reward shot again

Any update on this for the upcoming major in 2-3 months? Will we be using this again or will it be updated slightly once more? Always one of my favorites.
