Turned them on today and Wow.. does it make the golf courses much sharper.
For those who don't know what it is, those with certain type of GeForce cards have a DRS settings under their 3d section. By turning this on, you can have a game play at the settings of 3k, 4k, even 5k resolution settings, then it will compress it into whatever size monitor you have. You can chose these settings by having it go, 1.2, 1.5, 2, 3. 4, and 5 times your current resolution.
For me it doesn't effect game play or loading times on the PC, but it does make things a lot crisper and the edges of things like the sand traps or the flag a lot sharper and softer.

DSR is too big of a performance hit in this game for me unfortunately. Played mass effect 2 with DSR and really noticed the difference. Bright if you can play with those settings have you considered upgrading to a 4k monitor?

Which GeForce cards allow these settings? I'm considering an upgrade.

I have tried 3x and 4x. When I then launch TGC i do so from steam and choose launch options. From there I choose 3k or 4k viewing. I have a compatible card and have changed the settings to 4x in Nvidia control, but in the steam launch options the only things I have are screen resolutions (from 640 x 480 up to 3840 x 2160) and graphics quality settings (low, medium and high), there is nothing for 3 or 4k viewing.......any ideas ?

I turned this on last night but didn't see any change in the game. I'm not sure why not. I only saw one place to enable these in the global 3d settings. However, I also have modified the specific settings for the golf club. Maybe it's overriding the global DSR setting... I have no idea.
Anyone have any idea why I'm not seeing it? Maybe I am seeing it...but can't tell...*shrug* Didn't notice a performance hit.

I think maybe I found the problem. Do you have to change resolution for everything? trying to get it to only work in games might be harder than I thought. Trying to find a workaround. grrr.

In the game setttings go to steam and go to launch settings. You should see you are able to go to 3k,4k,5k now in your resolution.

There shouldn't be a "hit" so much.

nope, no hit at all. I turned OFF AA and actually picked up a few frames. Nice to know I can max that bad boy even on my 660 TI. That's a good old card bubba!
