Anyway that was here last year, knows that the last time we used a course by joegolferg it did not go well. It went great for the players but for Joe himself, it ended with him having some sort of mental breakdown and been carried off by men in white coats as he screamed " They just don't under stand, they need lessons, I will teach them, I will teach them all". It was sad to see someone who has contributed to this community being carried off the the loony bin like that. The community did not forget him thought, the staff here at tgctours sent him a lovely fruit basket. Ha,Ha. a basket for a basket case, I just noticed that, we are so kind and so funny at the same time. A lot us thought, it was the end of Joe, but it was not to be. Fast forward a year and half and I hear Joe has designed a new course, I was shocked. I thought the doctors would have kept him well away from designing considering that played such a big part in his downfall but I guess they know best and it was some sort of therapy they designed. So, I thought to myself, I can help with this therapy, I will put the course on the Kinetic. When he heard the news he freaked out, he went nuts, more nuts than he already was. It seems he blames Kinetic, Korn Ferry, Web.com players for what happened to him. His shouting of " They just don't under stand, they need lessons, I will teach them, I will teach them all" was directed at you, the Kinetic Tour player. What you don't understand is golf architecture, what he is going to teach you, how to appreciate template golf courses., the lesson, a 10 hour lecture on the golden age of golf architecture. But he is locked up, so you are safe, not any more Joe has escaped. I wanted to cancel this weeks event for your own protection but the admins here said no, they said "if we lose a few Kinetic players, we can back fill from the Challenge Circuit, no loss". So this weeks goes ahead, just be careful out there guys, if you see Joe coming towards you, get off the course, take the double strike, it is far better than a 10 hour lecture than you just may not survive. I know some of you are new here and may not know what Joe looks like, below is a still taken from security footage from yesterday, study it carefully and if you see him, run. Outside of that, have fun and good luck.

I get demoted to the Kinetic just to play US Open courses and conditions? @!$# this. I'm looking to double strike down every week until I find a tour I belong on

Joe's designs hate me in every possible way. I was +4 thru 3 holes and fought all the way back to -4 after 35 holes, featuring an ace shot that was 2" short, and a huge breaking eagle putt that finished 3" short, but of course, as Joe's courses always do, I found a way to screw myself out of any chance at all with a double bogey on the 36th hole. I took 4 shots from within 20 yards of the hole.
With that being said, I'm highly considering taking a break from this tour. I'm finding the scheduling to be less than fun these days personally. It's getting tiring trying to see how many ways we can make the conditions annoying to play in. Just my take, but I don't summarize my rounds as an enjoyable experience much anymore.

Managed to shoot -5 round 1 after being even after 9. Played very solid round 2 with a -10 60. -15 at the cut.
Sometimes it's good to take a break. What I do to make it fun for me is totally turn off caring and just take it one shot at a time no matter what. When I stop having fun I take a break.

Tough putting this week. Looks like another missed cut for the Honeybadger.
-2 R1 with a chip in eagle on 17. -1 R2
Good looking course but very difficult especially with the speeds at 187 for first two rounds.

I can see what you mean here. No disrespect to the scheduler's because the work they do is great, but I feel like this season scheduling could be a bit better. From my experience in TGCT (which is just about 1 year), the scheduling has changed dramatically. Last season, you had two different Challenge Circuits with different courses, leaving the upper tiers as more of a middle ground in preparing for the pro tours. Now, all challenge circuits play the exact same courses, meaning courses must be picked for both good and poor players. When moving to the pro tours, there is a very sharp jump between CC courses and pro courses, with not much difference in playability between Platinum and Kinetic (in my experience). I feel Kinetic could take on the role of the old CC-Pro, where the courses could be slightly easier but still difficult in order to prepare for those jumping into the upper tours. Once again, no disrespect to anybody, as all of the work that is done is amazing and provides enjoyment for us all.

I've lived on the edge of Kinetic for weeks now, playing terribly after a nice promo event got me here. I am 0-for-cuts, with four demo marks, but through dumb luck (glitches without demotions) and playing just well enough to avoid the fifth red guy I'm still here.
Start off the tournament here with a nice bounce off the pinestraw to 5 feet or so for birdie and I'm thinking it's my week. Second hole tee shot I hit into the driveway of a house. Oh, you didn't know there were houses on the course? To find them you need to hit it left at about 8 o'clock direction combined with a fast. Doubled the par 5, my first of 3 doubles. Putt like a dog but somehow finished -3, so long story short, think I'll just barely survive and advance another week. you can't kill what's already dead!

Round 3 62 and a bleh 66 for round 4. I'll take it but sorta wanted to try to make a run for it on Sunday! I struggled on the front all week, two rounds I was sitting at even after 9, and I stayed even par thru 12 on one of them. Still managed -4 (R4) and -5 (R1) on them so I'm pretty stoked about that.
-27 total, I'd predict a promotion mark but who knows

I went into this weeks tournament with very low expectations considering how I have been playing lately and word on the street that Springbrook was a tough track. I certainly found the greens very challenging, the course was a fine Golden-Age representation by the Golden-Age master JoegolferG. Squeaked myself around the first two rounds at -9, which looks like it will make the cut but not much more. At least no demo marks this week! Edit: no I missed the cut by a stroke , oh well on to next week.

I think this is my first time leading an event, after round 3. No idea what got into me. Don’t worry, I parred 14 holes in R4 to finish with a 68. I’m hoping that still sees me through to a promo mark.
It seems like the pins were especially challenging in the final round, wondering if everyone else will find the same thing.

I ended up not playing this week due to time constraints. I thought the course was very well done in my one practice round. I do like template courses, especially those of CB McDonald and Raynor. I am sure I will play it in a casual round or 2. joegolferg
