Just for fun, I decided to play my first attempt at making a 2K21 course. Spoiler alert, it's terrible. Almost unpinable greens, stock bunker shape cutting across surfaces, lack of smoothing, autoplanting encroachment. Anyone else have some pics of their first attempts at a course? I am glad I never deleted this (or published it).

My first course is thankfully long since deleted - it was a linksy course with no planting, 10ft deep and 5ft wide bunkers and autogen tees and rough. Oh, and every shot was blind. No pictures, sadly

No pictures either, but tree overhang in every 15 yard wide fairway. Every shot called for either a slice or a snap hook. Thankfully, I never published mine either. Greens alternated between dead flat or almost all red.

technically my first course is Bohemian Club but in actuality I have many terrible courses on the old TW games when the PC version (and ONLY the PC version) had a full built in course creator that allowed you to import textures and your own 3d models. Plus I made many maps in Cities Skylines which is, in effect, an almost identical editor (this game is in the same engine as cities skylines) So in effect, Im cheating on this test.

My first course is published as Wolfburn Dune. It's... It's a fun design but it isn't amazing by any stretch.

I didn’t know that! I love cities skylines, so makes sense.

My first attempt was awful, but I'd just like to shout out the king here: Chantres went from Berry Bay (boat stands forever) to winning to World Cup.

Just feast your eyes on this majestic island green lol the retaining wall work is as smooth as they come! My first course ... was very lucky to get approved at all.. actually started off decently but the wheels soon came off the later you progressed through the round. Also the worst and most spread out routing I've ever done... luckily this one died with tgc 19

I think the idea of my first course was exponentially better than the execution... I believe this was back on TGC 1 or 2 - it's called the Dueling Grounds @ Weehawken, in reference to the famous Burr/Hamilton Duel. I totally got swept up in the "Hamilton" musical when it first came out, and wanted to create a course that paid homage to it. It was not great. www.tgctours.com/Course/Details/19309?PlayerId=32635

How far you've come, man. Can't wait to see your National Treasure course!

It's been a long journey in a small amount of time haha but with all the help and advice in this community we have all the tools to make significant improvements in our designing

Luckily my first course also died with TGC 19. Was entirely unplayable with greens that were sometimes over 100 yards long and with 15ft sloped on them. Some dreadful design ideas and basically no planting.

hey play paradise island golf club and you'll see how bad I was. I built the final 5 holes in 90 minutes! For some reason I tried searching up this one. There's a ton of Paradise Island courses... absolutely loads. Including one from the designer with the most TW courses in the database, lol.
