First ever rage quickplay...and I'm not especially proud about it.
If there's someone out there who can logically explain - and is willing to share - how to play these slower green speeds in a way that doesn't include counting bean movement, etc., please do tell...it's beyond infuriating for me at this point.
GL all, see you next week.

16 more red thingies for me, and I deserve all of them!
Will next week be my last as the Platinum clown?

I played great in R2 (and pretty well in R1 too), so somehow can see my name on the front page, -22 through 2. I'll wait a couple days before diving back in the course and going for R3&4

Couldn’t buy a putt R3 and R4 despite continuing to hit it well T2G. Agree with you Smooth, I love when a barely moving bead under your foot deviates an otherwise dead straight putt 4”. I’ll say it for the 100th time, slow greens can do one.

Broke my cut streak at 5 this week. Poor GIR combined with poor scrambling doesn't get it done. Hitting 6 bunkers in R2 certainly doesn't help.
(Currently last in Driving Distance doesn't help, either)

You can't make that sh%$ up, yesterday I played -7 in the first 2 rounds! 😐 Exciting races until thursday to see if it's one or two demo points. And then hours passed, on shroomz and beers, playing with an alien (you gotta see it to believe it! ), I went playing the last 2 rounds of the Platinium and managed to shot -10 for the last 2! 🤷♂️ Good news is I finally found what was wrong with my swing tonight. Just shot a decent -41 in the CC tournament. I'm now confident I'll play better next week

Hello. This course and the chosen setup highlight every single weakness off my game. Water right (or left, haha) next to the fairway to catch an accidental red miss? Check. Challenging slopes on the greens? Check. Slow green speeds? Yes sir! Hilly deep rough next to the green to catch an accidental red miss on the approach? You bet! Oh wait. The above could also simply mean that my game is not good enough for Platinum. Yes. The list of weaknesses in my game is longer than that of my strengths at the moment. This is because these strengths rely on good tempo. And tempo continues getting worse recently. Now, I'm aware that what follows may sound like I'm looking for suitable excuses. However, the new mousepad I got myself back in December is giving me headaches, as I think I experience the stick-slip effect again, which would mean that my heavy mouse might have worn out the pad already. I played TST immediately after this, swinging on a different area of the mousepad, and I immediately had a better tempo. Will I be able to swing on the right area of the mousepad next week? Stay tuned... Cheers and good luck all!

-14 thru 2 hoping to make my second cut in as many weeks up here... It's gonna be close. Fingers will be crossed all day as the rest of the scores trickle through.
Either way, still feel like I haven't brought my best to Platinum yet. I've had at least one bogey in every single round I've played up here. Hopefully better next week!

-20 through 2, and on fire! I dont count putting beads- maybe this green speed is the great equalizer for those counting and those just eyeballing it? last 2 rds were much more difficult and my luck ran out on the back 9 of R4 with a +1 over the last 10 (with a crap ton of lip-outs) to finish at -27.

Kara here, updating everyone on the wonderful happenings to your favorite weird as f*** trans girl.
A little side venture to the wonderful event we've been having on Twitch - the Beaz Kneez Match Play Invitational - hosted by killahbeaz! I beat Daniel Dickinson (McNibbles) in Round 1 3&1, then John Ives (Jivesinator) in Round 2 3&2. I was super nervous for the next match, but beat Matt Molenaar (Naarwhal) 3&2 in the Ro16, and moved onto face the very terrifying, incredible Pat Hildebranski (wahnita, SteamingPolak on twitch). That match will be on Friday if people wanna tune in later at night!!
In plat, I started off SUPER HOT after beating Naarwhal in the matchplay. -11 after 1! PC best score after 1 round! Was this the dream coming true? No, my tempo left me as I was completely drained following the match play and the adrenaline wore off. +1 after 8 in Round 2....dear god, was I really gonna choke away the incredible round 1???
I took a few deep breaths. Practice swings. Remembered my routine that has helped me make my tempo a lot more consistent. More deep breaths. Crap, another grey fast! 25 ft past the hole on the par 5, downhill putt. I don't care, I birdie on 9, draining that putt! Even through 9. 2 more pars. It's ok, 7 holes. I can do this. Breakthrough birdie on 12 after landing within 2 ft with the GW. More birdies 14, 15. The par 5 comes, gotta score, would love the eagle. Off the green on the approach, 15 yrds away on the left. PERFECT RANGE! I love my splash ins...and I nail the LW splash to get to -16. End the under streak with another on 17, sealing our cut!
That felt incredible, and I'm so happy to make another cut. Since missing my initial one at Pebble, I've made 3 cuts in a row. Hopefully I can keep the momentum going and get a huge upset victory on Friday night to win the PC region and go to the final 4!

Wooo! Right on the cutline at -14 thru 2, I'll take it. Second cut in as many weeks, hopefully can keep that going!
I finished out the last two rounds the same way I started, -6 and -8, for -28 overall. After debuting at T59 last week, maybe this score can eek out a Top 50 finish? Unlikely but hey I'm just happy to be here.
