I recently upgraded to a series X and I love it load times are so much faster game looks the same but sadly also plays the same I only find it sad because we're lumped in with PlayStation players and the game is obviously markedly easier on PlayStation and therefore we really have very little chance to compete.
The only reason we join tgctours is to compete we enjoy the friendly competition but when you don't have a chance it's just less fun I always look at my scores as compared to other Xboxes I've slowly gotten better but have fallen in the rankings and in the tour's almost every week I know it would be a lot of work but I think it's time for them to separate the consoles

They are not going to separate consoles. If you want to compete with others on same console, join societies and compete that way. P.S. I am an Xbox player. I know we are disadvantaged.

It's much easier to get a feel for the tempo swing and modulate it properly when you're getting feedback at 60 FPS, versus 30. To illustrate the difference, I have the game for both my PC (which can run the game at 60 FPS) and my XBox Series X (which is locked at 30 FPS). I have my overall difficulty set to "Pro" on my PC and "Pro-Am" on my Series X, yet my average score is between 4 and 5 strokes lower per round on the PC, even at the higher difficulty level It's a different game at 60 FPS, and one I'm sure plays more like the designers intended it. I just hope it isn't too much longer that we have to wait for 2K21 to get the FPS Boost treatment from Microsoft.

I thought it was mostly to do with the sensitivity of the Xbox controller, i.e. Xbox controller more sensitive than PS4? Although I did read somewhere else that might have changed in that the PS5 controller is sen to be more "sensitive" than the PS4 and on par with the Xbox? Perhaps we will see less disparity going forward but over the next 12 to 18 months? What do you think?

Perhaps we will see less disparity going forward but over the next 12 to 18 months? What do you think? I had owned TGC and TGC 2 for the PS4 and XBox One. What I found with the PS4 version on both games was that it was easier to track the Y axis more faithfully than the XBox One version. The ability to track the Y axis was more critical to the shot result in those two games, but it's still important to track it as far as pushes and pulls are concerned in the current game. The PS5 version of 2K21 is locked at 30 FPS, just like the Series X version, so I'd imagine they have just as much trouble modulating tempo as the Series X. I'd wager that it's still easier to track the Y axis for the push/pull component on the PS5, however. *If* the Series X version of 2K21 gets the FPS Boost treatment to where it's running at 60 FPS, or thereabouts, it will easily become more conducive to scoring than the PS5 version based on my experience. If that does happen, I suspect there will be some cries of "foul" from some in the PS5 demographic if the cross-platform TGC Societies. I can't say those cries won't be justified... but what could they do if FPS Boost does come about on the Series X?

I can't say those cries won't be justified... but what could they do if FPS Boost does come about on the Series X? A FPS boost won't necessarily make Xbox easier or on par tempo difficulty wise as PS4. I know someone who has just bought a top gaming PC with a RTX 3080 and is averaging way over 60 FPS in 4K. He says the game's tempo is much more difficult on PC than PS4 and his society score really showed that. Also I know someone who has gone from an Xbox X to PC and his scores are better on PC now than they were on Xbox. Controller wise I prefer the Xbox One to PS4 dual shock and I have used both with official Bluetooth dongles on PC. I don't find Xbox more sensitive to hit straight probably the opposite. Controller wear has more of a say in difficulty, as it becomes more difficult the looser the stick gets. I just don't play the PS4 Pro version much as like you I really notice an 80 FPS to 30 FPS framerate difference. Also all the courses look way better in 21:9 ultrawide than on my 55" 4K TV, on PC or PS4.

So the Xbox isn't harder and a FPS boost wouldn't help anything.
Got it.

Apexhound just posted a video saying 60 fps is unlocked after the update. Is this confirmed?

It actually a 60hz does that equate to 60 fps in game? It does as long as the hardware is capable of driving it at 60 FPS, which in the case of the PS5 and Series X I know to be the case. My Series X has had the ability to drive it at 60 FPS from day one, they just had this inexplicable 30 Hz vsync rate imposed, which in turn restricted the frame rate to 30 FPS. Those days are now gone, hallelujah!
