I was hoping to get get back to writing full intro's this week with HoneyBadgerHacker 2: Revenge of the Honey Badger but it is just not possible. Getting hit by so many assignments now that it is hard to see when the end is in sight. On top of that, there is a new head boy in the Cork Education board and I have been asked to write a little a bit about the experiences of a mature student going through the system over the past 3 years. Ha, a little bit, that is not going to happen, he is getting a full mammoth style novel. I am 4000 words in and have only just gotten to the end of the first year. Wait until he gets to year two, the arrival of Covid, the refusal to take part in a drawing class and the death of a classmate. I think the idea was that I write really nice things that can be used as testimonials, and I have written nice things, but it is not often that I would get a chance to voice my opinion to the people in charge, so I am writing about everything good and bad. Anyway, enjoy this weeks course, the second course by Eric on the tour this year, a course actually set in and around Louisianan so I can pretend I know what I am doing when it comes to American geography, it happens maybe twice a year. Have fun all.

In my 2nd week on the K Tour and definitely different from CC where I was in full attack mode 100% of the time. On these courses, you have to play smart. Better in W2 vs W1. I probably won' make the cut, but should avoid a demo mark after a solid 2nd round.

Was a bit nervous playing this for the tournament since I am the one who designed it. Started off good with a birdie on 1. Got lucky on 2 with a par because my ball went all the way down the right slope. Eagled 5 and followed that with birdie/birdie. Then found the rocks and water. Who put them there dang it! Got lucky and followed a double bogey up with 3 consecutive eagles followed by par and then a 5th eagle and a birdie to finish -11. Hope everyone has good rounds and hopefully 4 of them.

5 eagles in a round? Wow that’s nuts! I went the 9 birdies and one bad 3 putt bogey for an opening -8.

First off, kudos to you HoneyBadger because this course is gorgeous and really fun to play! I sure hope I'm around for the 3rd and 4th rounds this week.
Victor opened with a pretty solid -8, but actually felt a bit raw because it should've been -11 (two barely lipped birdie putts and a par putt on 10 that I still don't know how I missed). Either way, sitting in a pretty nice spot relative to the cut after R1.
However, round 2 did not go as well, as Victor couldn't find the bottom of the cup much at all with the putter, and even made a couple of really bad bogeys on top of it to end with a -4.
All we can do now is hope that -12 sneaks in to the weekend, because if it doesn't, I'll feel like I really wasted this one away.

-9 round 1 and played very well.
-8 thru 17 in Round 2 and flying.
2nd shot to 18 got a red slow out of nowhere and ended up in the rocks but able to play my third from the rocks. Thank god i thought. 3rd shot hit the rock in front of me and went backwards into the water. Either back in the same place for shot 5 or a spot 90 yards away directly behind me in the trees and wilderness. 5th shot hit a rock i couldnt see in the trees and into water. Choice was that spot or a spot in the trees 103 yards away.
Lets just say i didnt beat the shot limit. Finished -1 for the round and -10 overall after round 2 so will likely miss the cut from being in a position to challenge. Am here chuckling. What a sh1show

Started with a pair of -9s to sit -18 at the halfway stage. Went out with a bit of a whimper to finish -28 overall. Great course, and some really good golf needed with the progressively trickier pin positions in rounds 3 & 4. At least a bit of revenge for missing the cut last week!

First week up in Kinetic. Last week when it looked like I was in a good spot to possibly get my final promotion point in CC-A I played the Kinetic event later in the week and the last time I had checked would have actually got 2x promo points so that was a good confidence booster for this week.
Started with a pair of -9's so that took the pressure off of trying to make my first cut. -10 in 3rd round felt really good but limped home in the 4th with just a -6. I made a birdie I think on 11 then got on the par train on the rest of the back 9 and couldn't get off of it.
Fun course. For me I had trouble finding the green reliably but when I did I capitalized. I think in rounds 1, 2, and 4 I hit 11/18 greens so to put up the scores I did I can't complain too much. Definitely a change of pace from the CC tour where at this point to even sniff a promo mark in CC-A you've got to be right around the -40 most weeks so gotta be super aggressive and hope for good breaks. At least on this weeks Kinetic course I had to really be confident in hitting spots to get at a lot of pin positions as the greens have WAY more undulations than the CC courses. Little long or short of my intended landing spot and the ball would end up 30ft away instead of under 10ft. And even those under 10ft putts weren't near gimmes. I missed a couple 5 footers in round 4 that were yellow or orange breakers I had to putt across.

Did you see than every even hole are the most difficult and every odd's one are the easiest? Maybe an intention from the creator!

Did you see than every even hole are the most difficult and every odd's one are the easiest? Maybe an intention from the creator! Purely a coincidence. Lol that is crazy though. When I first started this course #10 used to be #1. I changed it for routing purposes and to have #2 really stand out on the initial play. I did try my best to vary hole difficulty to a certain degree but not every other hole. Lol

I must say that when I played my practice round this week, I wasn't really sure about this course. However after another practice round and the first 2 rounds, I am slowly falling in love with it. I love the variety and strategy involved on every hole!
Sitting at -19 after 2 rounds. For it being my second week up here in the bigs I am pretty happy. Looking forward to the round 3 and 4 set ups.
If only the superintendent could do something about those damn bugs on 9 tee. They are tearing me up!
