Am wondering does wind effect the ball less on a heavily treed course versus a more open links style course, e.g. in a high wind will the ball move to the left or right less on a heavily tree lined hole compared with an open hole? And will the ball only be impacted buy the wind when it reaches above the tree tops?

The wind should be affected by trees but I haven't found that to be the case.

Strong winds should affect putts too, but it doesn’t.

What also bothers me is I find the wind effects the ball very soon after leaving the clubface. Not highly realistic. Ball should be effected more and more as it climbs higher and then is exposed to the winds higher up. Hard to code I guess.

To me, the impact of the slope is too dramatic on the ball immediately after coming off of the putter face. I feel that your putt should move through the break immediately and THEN be impacted by the slope. I understand that the distance and speed of your putt makes a difference but in my opinion the effect of the break it too significant right off of the face of the putter.

I find the side hill lie effect inconsistent as well. For instance I'll have a lie with the ball above my player's feet, red lines going sideways and the beads moving pretty quickly right to left, so I'd expect the ball to start left. If the wind is going the opposite direction I'll aim somewhere near the pin depending on the severity of the slope and wind, the issue is, assuming perfect plane and tempo on the swing, half the time the ball starts left as expected then blows back more or less where I want it, and other times it starts straight where I'm aiming as if the lie was flat and blows way off line. Maybe there's some tiny little flat spot in the ground that isn't obvious from the lie grid but it's pretty infuriating when it happens.
