Hi all,
Promoted in the recent promotion event from CC-C and started last week with a solid 30th place after flirting with the top 5 over Rounds 1 and 2. Just couldnt keep it going as is the case for many - 2/3 out of 4 rounds just doesnt cut the mustard in these parts. Delighted to be back in Web.Com / Kinetic after being here for a while in 2020 until i moved up to Euro/Elite. Was eating humble pie in CC-C but just wasnt playing the new game enough to be inany way consistent or competitive. Not sure if i still am but moving up here has lit the fires again.
Havent played this week yet but, as an Irishman, great to see it in Cork and let's hope this scheduling gives Cork people the confidence they are renowned for lacking. They need something (although that last minute Munster semi-final goal v Kerry a few months ago was definitely something).
Good luck to all this week and in the coming weeks

Yes that last minute goal against Kerry was a joy, it's such a pity that after that game the rest of the championship was cancelled because of this pandemic. I repeat, the rest of the championship was cancelled and there was not another game after this one against Tipperary .

As a Mayo man i think you are absolutely correct, that Championship was cancelled.

I had a lot of fun tonight watching three people stream their tour rounds. It was a night of high drama and very entertaining to watch, I saw a bad round saved, saw a good round ruined and a round where course management was to the fore. Most of the drama happened on the back nine, it showed how well this course was suited for tour, those nine holes brought cheers and tears, hopefully I will catch more streams over the next few nights.

My best start by far this season. -12 in round 1 with 2 eagles. High winds in round 2 looked like they would wreck havoc on me. I started off with a bogey after a terrible approach. However, I was able to turn it around and score a -9 including an eagle and an albatross!
Sitting at -21 through 2. Hopefully I can keep the momentum going in rounds 3 and 4.

Rounds 3&4 in the bag. Round 3 has very little to report other than it was decidedly average, in fact , verging on the pretty poor that finished up at -4 for -18 through 54 holes & a feeling of wasting my good 2nd round.
Round 4 was much better and back to the consistency of the 2nd round where I made much better decisions and some steady putting & chipping. Happy to say I left this round with a very decent (albeit in easier conditions) -11 for a -29 total. I’ll take that all day long ! Until next week’s nerve shredding encounter , Slainté !

For the first time in months I didn't sh%$ my pants after making the cut and managed to finish r3 and r4 properly. The very last hole was an ace and it may bring the promotion as a result, instead of a single promotion mark. Fingers crossed!

I really enjoy this course a lot, with one exception: it seems that too many of the fairways are crowned in the center just enough to kick shots landing there left or right into the rough, especially set to firm or v firm. It was hard to see this crown so you really couldn't avoid it. Anyway I still think it is a great effort. I played adequate golf for three rounds, with needing a -11 in rd 4 to maybe get a single promo mark. I put paid to that idea when I started the round bogey, double, double (including a 5-putt on the par 5 #2) for 5 over after 3 holes. I made the turn at 3 over, but struggled back to finish the round at -2. Oh well, maybe next week

Just would like to point out that only 1 fairway has a crown the the middle, the 7th. All other fairways slope in one consistent direction.
