I've played this course a lot, made a video on it and have already discussed my enjoyment of it. Good first round followed by a scrappy 2nd round (3 bogies) where the wind direction just kept giving me fits and putting me between clubs a lot left me with 63-69 to make the cut at -14. Now looking to move up the board on the weekend to get some decent world ranking points. Bye bye demo mark from last week!

Man, one of these weeks I gotta play well enough in R1 & R2 that I'm not on cut watch. More stress than I need, lol!
Made the cut on the number. Played R3 & R4 last night. Fairly tough conditions in R3 - even when I hit what I thought were good shots, I'd find them rolling out to insane putts. I think my stock distance on hole 1 was 109', although I was only 64' out, so no wedge use allowed! This was compounded by a number of burnt edges on the front and I made the turn in R3 at E for the day. The back 9 I found the range a bit better, making 5 birdies to card a 68.
R4 was more benign conditions and it played that way. Honestly, I can't remember all my shots - it was almost time to call it a night and I can't see my scorecard yet to jog my memory, but I did close with a 63 that could have easily been a 60. I know I left a couple of putts short in the heart, missing my target percentage by one or two %.
I'll likely finish mid pack of those who made the cut and I'm okay with that - for now!

R1 -6 R2 -8 -14 at the cut. Should be right on the line but we'll see. Couple of V fast shanks in the first round and just mediocre putting in both. Loved the course and set up. Feeling right at home cut watching lol R3 -5 R4 -11 F -30 After a weak 3rd round in tough conditions was happy to pull out a -11 in R4 and get to -30. Might be good enough for a promo mark but not holding my breath. Goal was to finish top-30 and/or -30 so I'll take it. Solid first week up here.

Now my first Elite Tournament is over and I'm quite happy with the outcome. After two good rounds with -8 and -7 I took on fighting the conditions on moving day with a -6. For a classic links course, weather on day four was wonderful and so a low score of -11 for a finishing -32 was possible. Maybe it's not just a visiting. Hope to make a long stay here

Had a fun crew in chat while streaming the final 2 rounds. Seems that having people to chat with helps my game as I went 66-60 to finish at -34. Quite a difference from last week's demotion mark.

It looks like you have me for one more week, having missed out on a countback for only 2 spots to Platinum in the promo event - I had to laugh! Anyway, a -51 after 4 (my best event total ever) will almost definitely see this as my last Elite tournament...however, recent events have proved to me not to count those lil' chickens until they are a hatchin' Thank you jwtexan and toddfather for your time, expertise, and patience dealing with reprobabtes like myself Well played Cotty. Doesn't appear anyone is going to catch you, and even if they do, you'll still get double promo marks and head up to platinum. Looks like Dan Saterlee, Estaban Gonzalez, Eric Beaudry and Billy Gilmore are all moving up on promo marks as well. Good luck at platinum boys! Don't say I didn't warn you about Petty...
