I don’t feel safe at all after the third round but luckily Erik ten Hag substituted 5 players with young boys who grew up in Almere; they know that’s not a joke... Good lord, the Italians are going to need a papal intercession and divine retribution to touch those numbers.

The lads wanted to get out there early this week, as their end of season holidays awaited. In fact a few of them were actually playing in flip flops which resulted in some silly bogeys, but pretty happy overall. Now with Man Utd being Villa's bogey team, and given 5 shot swing I think its gonna be tight, especially looking at last weeks results where they would have beat us comfortably had we played them.

Far too much class from the pride of Amsterdam, leaving the Italians outgunned, outmanned, outnumbered and outplanned. Reached for comment via text message at halftime, the Italian manager simply responded, "LOL. [shrug emoji]"

Round 4 -6 Man U made more of a fight of it later in the game but villa had too much overall and hit united with a counter attack to end up comfortable 3-1 winners. Well played the villa!

2nd Round -7
An all too familiar problem appears again for Celtic as they seem to be slow in getting started, then when they do they could be a goal down. They opted to utilize the wings more through Forrest, Johnson and overlapping runs made by Laxalt. They had a couple of early shots at goal but more often were denied scoring opportunities by the Robins' defence. They didn't have it all their own way as Chris Martin caused their back 4 a bit of trouble.
A bit of pressure was then applied by Celtic with 3 close range efforts from Edouard and Griffiths. The message from the Celtic bench was don't panic as Martin found himself in a good goal scoring position thanks to great play by Patterson. Another couple of chances were created by the home team through Christie and McGregor in a bid to get a foothold in the game.

They say it's better to travel hopefully than to arrive. I had a practice round to see if whatever demons had infested my golf yesterday had disappeared. It appeared that a couple of calibrations, including the most recent one using a Dualshock 4 rather than my XBox controller had brought about a Lazarus-like return of my form. Plenty of perfects and putting properly.
I knew I was up against in both against The Legend and the cut line. In truth I didn't fare particularly well against either. I needed thirteen under to ties things at half-time and that was never on the cards but only a silly bogey on the last hole dragged me back from a respectable birdie ever other hole. Round Two 65 (-7) and Coventry leading 2-0.
I thought I might as well hammer the last nail in the coffin and head straight out. I had a slightly more realistic ten-under to nick a goal back. Despite wandering down the sand on the right for the entirety of the ninth and dropping a careless shot I managed to hit quite a few very close and hole a couple of nice longer putts. I missed three eagle attempts by a midge's dick but got home in exactly 62 (-10) to at least make it interesting going into the final quarter of the match.
I only need a thirteen under to make it a draw. Unlikely as it is I actually would prefer not to as I neglected to properly sort out the tie break in the event of a draw in a playoff match. In the extremely unlikely event of me getting that score I think I may have to claim it as my ball, my game, I'm off in for my tea now.

Herne Bay won the toss against Tranmere and elected to kick off and went straight on the attack, but this was short lived and on the 11th Tranmere were gifted a goal when a shot that according to the feedback should of gone to the left actually went right and into the water. 10 on a par 5 and +5. Ended up +3 for rd1

Lol, the only places Chris Martin and Jamie Patterson are currently troubling are the treatment tables, but my well researched Scottish friend wasn't to know that!
Big crowd at Celtic Park for this one. Not because anyone gives a flying monkeys who gets 13th place but because joint club legend Dariusz 'Jackie' Dzeikanowski has been pulled out of the local bars to provide the half time entertainment. A sizable away following has traveled north of the border just to chant the name of their hero one more time, there's tractors parked everywhere. And they were treated to a decent opening spell from the boys in red. Didn't make the most of the easier chances they fashioned but took some of the more difficult ones. An opening round 67 and the opening goal. No counting of Jackie's empty beer bottles here though, much danger to negotiate yet...
That's put me in the top third in CCD, feels like I haven't made a cut since Jackie was actually playing! Might have to see if he fancies a game for the second round.

Sub comes on but clearly not match fit - runs out of puff after 20 mins. Must've been before I gave up the fags.

Celtic have equalised and yet it's Bristol City fans going batsh*t crazy in the away end! They get to watch a second half that means something for a change! A second 67 for me, and a made cut for the first time in forever. After a bit of time on the range decided to go for it on the 60fps option now available to us on Xbox. It's a different swing and a different game! But I am greatly encouraged, it did not feel anything like as random as I've been used to since this game came out. The putting cost me a few strokes, I was under hitting the shorter ones which was the cause of my double bogey on 7, but plenty to be happy about and this was only the first round. I knew -9 was going to be on the line and -10 looks safe. I'm -8 with 3 to play, birdied 16, salvaged a par with a putt from deep in the fringe on 17 and then made a nice bird at the last coming out of the heavy rough. Sorry to go off tangent with the golf talk, but I'm very happy with what I've just seen!
