We return to Winchs Field for final 23 minutes between Herne Bay & Celtic with the score at 1-2. The Bay having scored one goal earlier were still on a roll having a couple of chances being foiled by the Celtic defence. Ansah suddenly broke through the Celtic defence and calmly put the ball in bottom right of the goal in the 81st minute to make it 2-2. The 237 Bay fans went nuts jumping up and down with excitement. For the next 10 minutes Herne Bay kept on harassing the Celtic defence in search of the winning goal, but nearly came unstuck when Celtic made a quick break away attack in the 87th minute. The Bay's keeper Kamurasi quickly grabbed the ball and sent it back up the field. Herne Bay had a couple more attempts on the Celtic goal which came to nothing. And there's the final whistle Final Score 2-2 Ansah would of been carried off the pitch ,but the Covid police were in attendance so was given a round of applause as he walked off the pitch 1 Rd 4 -4

Nearing full time at the Stadio Gino Salveti and Spurs with it all to do and really put up a fight in this tense thriller but it’s looking like it’s not going to be enough and too much to do in the last 20 or so minutes left but come back soon Jeff for a further update!
Round 3 -5 67

And as the full time whistle blows at this tight match it’s a victory for the home team and no matter what Jose did tactically on the pitch it was no match for their opponents and a deserved win although a very hard fought battle. Spurs will rue the missed opportunities and so many scoring chances missed but a good entertaining game!
Round 4 -4 68

To avoid the ire of the travelling faithful and give the team more time to prepare for the crucial final group match Celtic opted to fly home. The decision turned out to be another misfortune in a series of mishaps as they lost their star midfielder Callum McGregor. As he spent time in duty free pondering the purchase of an oversized Toblerone an overzealous member of airport staff informed him that his flight was boarding and he had to rush to catch it. In what can only be described as a very unfortunate coincidence another Mr C. McGregor was running late for his flight to Las Vegas, both men had been found and ushered onto the wrong flight. With time being tight Celtic decided to give their newly acquired 'McGregor' a go and put him through his paces. There's no problem with his fitness although he does walk quite funny and communication is a problem as he seems to have a thing for "dags" and "caravans" So we'd like to wish our Callum all the best with his fight against some wall puncher from Uzbekistan in Las Vegas.

Season One - Week Three Qualifying Round - Match No. 3
So we move to the third qualifying game with West 'Am showing signs of the silky smooth football of the 60's and Cassino Calcio showing a bit of Mafia influence on the tournament. Even Herne Bay still have plenty to play for after a last gasp equaliser against Celtic. Bristol City are playing like they were born to prop up the table and Liverpool look like they are on they way to the top table but can that little team from across the Mersey throw a spanner in the works. All the Managers need to do is to play all 4 rounds of the TGCT Challenge Circuit (even if you miss the cut) and post your score on this thread. Colourful commentary is not only welcomed, but encouraged. For those Posh Boys playing rounds outside of their normal tour, a screenshot of the score summary at the end of the four rounds would be most helpful. Fixtures Around The Ground
This week's rounds will take place at Playa Saona by Ben Page. Beautiful looking course where shorts and sunnies and for Sky Blues a frogman's outfit will be the order of the day. "Based on Punta Espada in the Dominican Republic, Playa Saona is a strategic yet forgiving course, with the coastline featuring throughout the round." We all love a bit of FIFA eh....

Strange brew to start the second half as Burton Albion were unprepared for the Pirates onslaught as the Buccaneers took a one goal advantage. The Brew Crew were able to get back into form to close out the match and were awarded for their effort with an Orlando own goal to at least earn a draw. Orlando 🏴☠️ 2 Burton Albion 🍺 2 The rookie Brewers manager in the post-match press conference: “Even though where I’m from a tie is like kissing your sister. The way we performed today, we should be fortunate that we have a pretty nice-looking one.”

Ajax vs Tranmere Rovers - 2nd Half Tranmere came out with a spring in their step, by going into the break at 1-1, Ajax on the other hand came out with some players having bandages and plasters on them .. looks like some clogs might have been thrown around by the young manager ... and with this Ajax took hold of Rovers by the scrotum, looked them straight in the eyes and said, these my balls gents and i'll play with them as much as i want to and there's nothing you can do about it. The fear that went into the Rovers midfield was undeniable ... i was unsure if they were more afraid of the Ajax midfield or the fact that they could miss out on the duty free with their ferry due to leave in less than an hour, they wanted to get through the 2nd half as fast as possible which would inevitably lead to errors from them. Ajax powered to a comfortable 3-1 win in the end, Rovers played well in the final 10 minutes putting some pressure onto the Ajax Keeper, who did make a couple of absolute worldy saves. Final Score Ajax 3 Tranmere 1 Round scores R3 - 71 (-1) R4 - 68 (-4)

The Super Sky Blues travelled to Amsterdam. Ahhh, Amsterdam. Thoughts of tulips....drugs....and sex workers!! And a team still dining on on past glories. The Nottingham Forest of Holland? Maybe not quite that bad. A number of the players wives were banging on the window of the departure lounge after realising their player husbands had emptied the joint account. But we digress. There's a football match to be won. Pitch inspected. Good track. Ripe for knocking the ball about the Sky Blue Way. Back to the hotel.... The rest is a haze, no one remembers anything after leaving the hotel for a quiet meal on the evening before the match. Players are stood waiting for what they've been told is kick off but they have no idea what that means. The players run around in circles while the Dutch masters ping the ball around the park. Not difficult to look good against this Sky Blues side. Wheels proper fall off towards the end of the match with an early bath for no less than 3 players and the team goes into meltdown. Drugs tests all round. Round 1 -4 Round 2 -1 Round 3 -4 Round 4 +1

Ahead of the visit of the all-conquering West Ham to New Bayview, this was heard coming from the Chairman's office.
"Alexa - or-dur twa large buckuts o undustrieel looob"
"Opening YouTube"
"Alexa - or-dur twa large buckuts o undustrieel looob"
"Ordering bicycle inner tube"
"Alexa - dinnae bother, just play some Barry White"
Not hopeful of pulling off a shock the Fifers are thus destined for the lower tier of the next stage. It was a bad week for the men from Methil, where the only positive came from the Covid test, just hours before the link to arrange vaccination arrived (now, THAT'S ironic, Alanis Morissette). So far no serious symptoms but fingers crossed.
Just a note about the rankings for the qualification stage tables the tie-breaks are
1st - Points gained 2nd - Goal difference 3rd - Total goals scored 4th - Result in the head-to-head fixture 5th - hopefully 1-4 have sorted it out

Tyler LEFTY79 good match, can I kiss your sister too? Commish Greg honeybadger64 I don't know whether to toyi toyi for a while or get to JHB to fly for my next match. If it is a road game, where in blazes IS Hernia Bay? Sounds painful.
