Lol rob4590, this game has changed a bit since the TGC2 days! So to match your scores I will need -8, -5, -7, -5. I haven't got to -25 in ANY event this season! Just saying... Nice shooting

The Sky Blues are starting to feel the pressure building at Anfield as the crowd roars on the Red Men against the underdogs. Nervy defending creating chance after chance for Liverpool. It's HT and the City fans are off to check if their cars parked near the ground still have hub caps and the coach driver is off to check if the team coach still has wheels. You rarely leave with anything from Anfield Round 2 69 (-3).

Sky Blues out early for the 2nd half but it's a repeat of the 1st. Nervy especially in front of goal with Godden spurning a couple of easy chances. Rallied a little towards the middle of the half but will City leave Anfield regretting those missed opportunities? Round 3 67 (-5).
(Team coach still had wheels but it's got another 45 minutes to survive the scallies)

As usual with Bristol City, promise so much and deliver so little. Started round one really well, pinpoint passing giving me plenty of opportunities in the box. I took a few but that's the difference when you play against a Premier League tart, you need to take all your chances. Still, a glorious long bending pass for eagle at 8 got me to -5 for the round and we're well in the game. A bit cagey from there but another long ball right on the money at 14 gave me the chance to go to -8 from about 20 feet with 4 still to play. Just stroke it in the corner!! Nope, blasted it wide and missed the one back for a deflating par, and the mojo went south. A couple of red cards and a fight with the mascot later, in with a 67. Should have been better. 1-0 to the Hammers.

Here we are, Liverpool's first home game of the season. Bumper crowd here despite the restrictions. The reds were dominating from the outset. Peppering the sky blues goal. Their defence, for some reason, seemed more concerned with the car park and weren't paying attention when a beautiful ball from Alcantara laid on the first goal from Salah. (-11). Late in the first half, and Liverpool are still piling on the pressure. Many chances are created, and Salah was rewarded with his second just before the break. (-8). It was almost a repeat as last week when the Reds were a little bit lacklustre. Not to take anything away from Coventry, who were playing well. The Reds held on in the 3rd stanza to keep the score at 2-0. (-8). When Firmino came in the 67th minute, things started to look back up. Bobby was in fine form and was taking shots at will. Shaquiri slotted a ball through the middle, Firmino latched on to it and shoots.... (-10).

Home cooking does the homestanding Azzurri a world of good. Passes are crisp and on point, tackles dispossess with a minimum of contact, the Tottenham shots are drawn to the keeper's gloves like a magnet. Were it not for an absolutely comical Charlie Brown whiff on a shot from just outside the 18 during the 18th minute, it's hard to envision the boys in blue playing much better than they did in the opening run.

I'm not convinced that the East Fife captain calling the referee a *%$!!* *^*%%$Β£(!! really did our chances much good and then when he told him when here could shove his VAR that may have been the coup de grace. Double bogey on the first hole from position A in the middle of the fairway, more Brazilians than a samba band and very little else to commend it. I think I will be back to playing round 3 and 4 for the pride of the Kingdom of Fife and very little else. 69 (-3)

honeybadger64 Art VandelayI think I've got to the bottom of the problem from our game last week. No it wasn't the destitute training facilities on Scotland's east coast, or the boys from Soweto sticking pins in an effigy of my pixel golfer but rather a simple job of our Birmingham City landlords cleaner, Gladys, pulling out the ethernet cable accidently and leaving the Sky Blue boys relying on wifi!!

Team coach on bricks....I knew it...

So with the match lost the players decided to follow suit with McFadzean scything down Firmano, red card,Β and then spotting one of the scallies that was hanging around the team bus in the crowd and Cantona'd him (OOB 12th)!! The 10 men bravely hung on but couldn't stop Liverpool bagging a 3rd despite 2 wonderful efforts themselves being ruled out for offside with the Ref caving in to the pressure of the Kop (They counted on my card!!Β ). Round 4 69 (-3)
Next week sees another stiff task against the Dutch Masters of Ajax. Are this homeless Coventry team heading for the Kentucky or can they bung the Doorman of the Ritz a few quid to dine in style. PUSB

First half from Soweto was a tale of haves (round 1 -8) and have nots (round 2 +3). Not looking too good for the home squad.
Onward.

Last 10 minute of the first half at Tranmere Rovers - Ajax. After their ridiculous start, Ajax are trying to play some more controlled now. Passing the ball around and Perr Schuurs plays it back to Onana, for him to kick it long... BUT Onana was making a selfie? By the time he realises the ball is already close to the line... HAVE Ajax scored an own goal here??? I think they have... π©π©π©π©π©

2nd round -1
The next 10 minutes can only be described as frenetic as it was end to end stuff, Celtic had Griffiths and Rogic popping shots from outside the box. At the other end Julien had a clearing header crash off his own bar and out for a corner then had to make a goal line clearance shortly afterwards. For the rest of the half both teams were brought into niggly battles with late challenges and the ball being kicked away after a foul or throw in was awarded. This kinda game will suit Herne Bay and if Celtic need to win ugly then they'll need to call on their expert Scott Brown.

Rd 1 Even
With Celtic having the play for most of the first 22 minutes, Celtic have scored the first goal. The Bays only highlight so far was Zack hitting the crossbar.
If things are going to get ugly maybe we should of signed Ron "Chopper" Harris, Nobby Stiles & Vinny Jones. Watch out for your balls.
