Hope no1 has it happen to them in tournament play. Just finished my 3rd practice round at Swindon. The last 2 rounds Ive played on the 5th hole both times I took dbl. bogey after hitting my tee shot right behind the yardage marker. My approach shot hit the blk/white marker and both times flew back in the heavy rough 20 to 30 yds. behind me. So then Im hitting 3 from the richocet these markers create. Be careful if you roll up behind one of these they are on every fairway. Would hate to see a tourney round affected in this way. Any1 else have this happen, or is it just my bad luck???

Had it happen to me in a practice round on Shivering Pines when I was in Web.com. Tee shot basically came to rest against the 150 marker. On the next shot, figured 'that has to be cosmetic' and proceeded as per normal. Ball ricocheted right of right, went off at about a 45* angle.
Lesson learned, and they are now another obstacle to avoid. As they can't be moved (as they can in real golf, or at least a drop obtained), their inclusion is aesthetics over practicality and functionality.

Yes, had this happen as well. I now either dont put them on my courses, or in the heavy rough. Love the signature Pub, cross them off as you conquer them.

I had a tee shot glance off one slightly but I've never been right behind one. I always played to either rside.

I have never noticed them dont think we have many in the uk. We have black and white line of play stakes. Doesnt take a lot for courses to tippex yardages on sprinklers nowadays. Lose money on strokesavers then though
