Thank you for the fish and for teaching me to catch it myself next time I've figured out why my text search for "ESPG" didn't find anything in any of the xml files. I'm going to see a specialist about my dyslexia this afternoon.

Thank you for the fish and for teaching me to catch it myself next time I've figured out why my text search for "ESPG" didn't find anything in any of the xml files. I'm going to see a specialist about my dyslexia this afternoon. No worries. However, the XML isn't the fishing net you hope for. Many times the XML file will not have any EPSG code, or they will contain erroneous EPSG codes that do not pertain to the projection coordinates. You can usually find the EPSG code within the LAS/LAZ file itself, but this opens up a whole different can of worms for those that are not sure about what they are looking for or how exactly to go about opening one of these files. So... if you need another fish and they just aren't biting for you, just ask and you shall receive.
