Cottyuk , played this last night and thouroughly enjoyed the environment you've created. The variation in elevation of the plot was top class. I think this is your best design to date. I've played all of your courses and for me this and Meanwood Heath stand out. (Really liked Meanwood Heath!) My only criticism, and it's a very minor one, is I personally don't like the bridges you used. In fact I don't like them full stop in the game and have seen them used on other courses. I think a less ornate type of bridge would have been more suitable. To me they just don't fit the surrounds and something a little more nondescript would have been best. Just came across this thread and by way of example I think the bridges on this course work well... tgctours.proboards.com/thread/26822/highland-park-golfLooking forward to your next effort! Cheers

blueblood1995 , Thanks for the comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the course. I'm also very happy to receive criticism it's the best way humans can improve. I used to work in medicine and one of the mechanisms used in that environment is self reflection to analyse experiences. This process is way more difficult that it seems, so having someone look from the outside is much easier. I'm definitely open to others breaking down my designs so that I can see where I need to improve. The bridges, yep that could be better - now that you have said it, I probably won't use those ever again haha! I remember when I was younger I started playing the guitar, and one day I went to buy a new one and took my mother with me. Although she is usually very supportive, I think she was worried about my expenditure so commented to the guy, "He's not very good, he is still learning", and the guy in the shop replied "we are all still learning" - I think that sums up very nicely a philosophy for life and certainly my mind set with designing on here. I have learned loads from other designers and often incorporate things I like into my designs Meanwood Heath - I was definitely experimenting with a number of things with that design. Looking back, I think I could have changed quite a few things, (the greens needed completely changing) but the tight routing and general atmosphere was the main objective and there's definitely stuff in that design that helped me improve. In terms of the next effort, I'm not sure when that will be - COVID, lockdown and postponed work commitments afforded me time that I usually wouldn't get. There are no plans for another, but hopefully once this busy period is over maybe there will be time for something else. Fulton would probably have been my WCOD submission, however I appreciate that I'm very new to this design stuff so quite rightly I didn't make it into that competition. Sorry for the ramble...

rhino4life - Thanks for playing it. I really enjoyed listening to your stream. Four friends discussing x-box, designing and life in general. I dropped a follow In terms of the hole numbers on each tee - finding something unique is always difficult to do amongst the many great designers, so thanks for noticing that addition. To achieve that, I submerged a hole number sign and made a cube out of it. I'll be keeping an eye on your stream from now on. Thanks again.

Yeah....sorry about the sound going south around hole 13 or 14. I guess we lost Xbox party. Will keep an eye out for more of your designs. I think we have played some before or I have another yet to use.

I played this course yesterday and enjoyed it so much it may be looked up what other courses you did. Needless to say I had a Cottuk marathon day. Played through several of your courses and loved them all. I will definitely be shooting through these courses again and again. I also made sure that I bookmarked your TGCTOURS page so I can keep track of your courses easier. Thanks for sharing your courses with the community. I'm already looking forward to your next design.
Thanks, Justin

Cottyuk Bump Love this one. I'm not a big RTJ fan, but I really like Peachtree so this course really clicks with me. Also... where you been man? It's been a while since I've heard anything from you.

Really lovely course with a great southern feel. The wonderfully challenging changes in elevation and sloping fairways kept me on my toes. My only blemish came on the 17th where I came up short and paid the price rolling back down.
