Sorry for the late start to the weekly thread. We are at a great course this week, Old Sunset Field from staypuft39 This course gives you a ton of decisions to make and played pretty tough for me through my rounds last night, I got to -11 at the cut and hope that’s enough to hold on and make the weekend but it doesn't seem like it will be. I think this was easily one of the best from the recent design competition and I’m not shocked that Matt was able to bring an oil field in California to life. Enjoy everyone!

I played well, especially Rd 2 and 3. I started slowly in Rd 4, played the back 9 better. I finished -46 overall.

Really enjoyed the course so far. After R1 with 32 putts, figured I was missing the cut this week. Rebounded with a 60 in R2 to sit at -16 halfway and pretty sure I'm around for the last two rounds. Played R3 last night and shot a -8 that could have easily been -12 had a few putts caught a bit more of the hole. Probably play R4 tonight or tomorrow and am hoping for a solid final round to get up into the top 20.

Beautiful course - the combination of excellent planting aesthetics to give it that authentic look with well thought through strategy results in a Cotty thumbs up! I played fairly well, -15 at the cut and finishing on -31 is likely to give me a mid table finish and one that I'm very happy with. staypuft39 thanks for the great content jwtexan toddfather Thank you for the organisation and the thoughtful set up of the course as usual.

I was really struggling in round one then out of nowhere, a very nice alby from 214 yards on the 14th! Finished up on -6 and then followed it with a -8 that included an annoying double on the last. So -14 at the cut

Ah well, first missed cut. 67-66. Had a putt on 18 to get to -13, which looks like it could be the cut line and knocked it off the green. At the pace it was going, I'm not sure it would have dropped if it had been dead centre at the hole. Got up and down to make bogey and finish -11.
Great course - I just made too many mistakes.

Par 5s kicked my ass oddly enough but god this place is just too good. Seem to play my best rounds on the courses I enjoy most - must be why I make cuts on the Tex Tour. Looking at another finish in my sweet spot - between 30 and 50. No marks either way ensures I get to stay here.

Made my first cut for about 117 weeks, -23 after 3 but bogeyed the last two because I’m a plonker.
Love the course, super unique environment and some nice subtle challenges with the architecture.
Splendid

Absolutely loved the course this week. Extremely gettable yet, sneaky on some holes.
Somehow finished with no bogeys, although in reality there were a lot of mistakes on par 5s and the gettable par 4s ending with really bad pars instead. For example, I only made one birdie on 11! (Par on R3 with a 8i in to the green...)
-7 -10 -11 to sit at -28 under, and shot a good R4 too.
My biggest regret is how bad I shot on R1 and R2 should have been at least -12 or -13 under (missed lots of short putts, and made 2 mistakes on easy birdie holes!).

Whoa drama at the finish! Thought you’d get that one Mark. Well played to Cody.

Anyone know what’s going on with promos and demos this week? I was very happily back down here in Elite after a disaster of a month up on platinum and one top 10 finish has me auto promoted back to Platinum? DoyleyBuddy of mine said he was demo’s down two flights after this last week. Any explanation or people seeing the same things happening to them?
