Well, it looks like there's still an outside chance that -6 makes the cut (although I predict it will get knocked out sometime tonight), so I went ahead and played R3 today. Low and behold, I put up a bogey-free 65 in those high winds. Although the greens were at 144, which is a speed I normally hate, I think it allowed these greens to work a lot better.
I grabbed a 66 in R4 with my only blemish being a double bogey on the par 3 with a creek to the right on the back nine, which was my fault completely because I was trying to shape a shot from right to left into the green and I got a slow tempo, so the ball just fanned off to the right and into the water.
Overall a -15, which isn't bad considering only a -6 at the cut. Now I'm actually hoping I do make the cut since it's over with and my result wouldn't be too bad.
On to next week!

I absolutely screw this week... I should've skipped this tournament, couldn't hit a straight putt and tempo was completely off. I'll take my 2 demo marks and erase them next week! LFG

I told you so Victor! Listen to be honest after a couple of practice rounds with round one conditions where I could not crack par I decided not to play the tournament on my own course! I agree with all that those greens are pretty brutal, I really think they shouldn't be played at over 150, but that is what the Lidar gave me.

Very happy to make my 5th cut in a row for the sake of the tour, and tried hard to have a better attitude in the final 36 holes.

I have a good friend on this tour who said this was a challenging course this week. After reading the comments, I definitely had to try it out for some extra practice. In a quick summary, this did feel more like a Platinum level course and setup. I quite liked it, but feel it probably would have been better for that tour.

Then why set them at 170 default?! Always love your constructive input Benjamin. I set them at 170 because I wanted to have a default available between fast and v fast. That said however I set that speed in TGC2019 and probably should have changed it before porting to the new game since the greens seem to roll faster in 2K21 - my bad. I know you have never made any mistakes.

Yeah, never claimed to be perfect, but you believe what you want. You made a point of tagging me last week to tell me how much you hated my course (oh, by the way, with zero constructive input) - it was a crap move and you know it. With that in mind, seeing people grumble about a course that you yourself have set up to be unplayable (at a speed above what you believe fits it) AND then try to pass it off on Mammoth or Maxwell does make me chuckle.
I'd have left it like I did last week, but you decided to bring Greenstone up again this week when people didn't like yours.
P.S. loooooooove the use of Benjamin to try to talk down to me. Hilarious.

Really Ben, I did not hate Greenstone AT ALL, I thought it was a beautifully constructed, finished course. It was just too frustrating and no fun for me. I know you got a lot of kudos for it, but I guess one person who did not enjoy kills all that for you. I am sorry we began this flame war, no way I can win against you, so let's just let it drop please and I promise not to comment on any of your courses again.

Ok, I think if you re-read the comment, it came across a little differently. One person not enjoying it doesn't kill it for me at all - just look at some of the courses I've designed and their difficulty - but pointedly tagging me to tell me you rage quit and didn't find it enjoyable... well, you draw the conclusion. Happy to draw a line and VctryLnSprts can clean up the thread if he wants.

I can't believe I shot-32 (-8, -8, -6, -10) on it. My best 4 rounds ever. I did lots of pratice too on it. I'll not miss every Par 3 for sure. What is amazing about this course is how different everything is with new conditions. New wind, new course

Watching designers scrap it out in the comment section is like watching animals fight in the wild.
