ended up settling on a more inbetween look. IRL the actual Hirono has very little biodiveristy and is mostly populated by short, replanted trees that werent there when it was built. Im more of a fan of either going more open and treeless or creating a taller, more lush forest. Hirono is more near Kobe but I prefer the tree diversity around Fuji so it most likely will be located in that area. This is a picture I took around Maitake-San Shrine west of Tokyo, The diversity seems to be Maple, Oak and Cedar almost entirely ground cover is typically very minimal, maybe a few small trees and camellias
