Best course of the season this week for us lowly medium players - lots of different shots needed, but nothing tricked up - just good decisions needed at the right times.
Steady golf for me - made a lot of par saves.
Best of all was on 17 in R1, where after a run of pars had left me needing birdies, I hit a lovely (not) slow into the lake off the tee. Dropped it 202 from the hole, up that nasty tier, and then proceeded to hole a 4i for a rather unlikely birdie! Followed that with a chip in at 18 to keep the momentum.
-13 at the cut, -27 total in the end.
A very enjoyable event.

Lovely course but was fighting bad tempo and stupidity all the way... ššš the latter was on 17 in round 1; thought I would never hit the overhanging tree with my drive... I did: splash... š¦
-12 halfway
Best wishes Frans

Back to back great course selection. This course was tough but not tricked up. Got off to a hot start with 2 water balls in a row on that first par 5 for a snowman but bounced back for -14 at the cut

Only played a practice round so far but just wanted to give a shout out to ddixjr509 for creating this course. Fun and scoreable if you take the right lines which a lot of times takes 2 outstanding if not perfectly played shots. And just FYI I have not had any chip in yet...

I'm watching closely this week with my set-up. the smart way to play- 3w off most tees is safe, but it probably wont win you the tournament. Pick your spots with the Driver. the greens are fair in that there are more helping slopes than eff you slopes and most putts inside 20' will be very makeable. I'm sure somebody will blast driver every hole and go low... it wont be me, with my historic sh|tty performances on my designed courses.

It kicked my arse the final round but it was a fun test. Lots of different looks and made you think all the way through. You have any others in the works?

I'm in the WCOD contest... which means sometime in mid March I'll publish a decent course that gets buried with 31 other phenomenal courses. I do have a vision for this course that should be both unique and memorable- just need to pull it off in designer.

I remember your Hyde Park track from the end of last seasons PGA and really liked that one too. Hope you take advantage of the home course knowledge this week!

This is probably my favorite course this season. It is a challenging course that just requires you to make good decisions and execute well. I know we all say our rounds could be lower, but my first round could have been crazy low. I missed a hole-in-one, that I am still uncertain how it didn't go in, and lipped out a double eagle that just kept trickling away.. and I missed the eagle putt too. Also had about 4 other lip outs, but still tremendously enjoyed the first two rounds. -10, -11, and -21 at the Cut.

From what I saw on PS4, that's going to put you in really good shape if you continue that pace.

First of all, absolutely love the course. Echoing what everyone said, plenty of decisions required and greens are great to where they can be hard if you aren't smart with your approach, but have areas you WANT to miss to to give yourself a chance.
Boy, I know I sound like a mega spoiled brat if I complain after a 57 but #%$&!! I was -13 through 11, and my sweaty as hell fingers slipped on an easy birdie putt on 12 to give me my first par. Took a second to exhale and say, its ok, no matter what, you're still playing great and will have a nice round lol. Grabbed a couple more birdies on 14 and 15 but that was that. I proceeded to play 16 17 and 18 as bad as I possibly could. Every drive into the weeds, couple decent approaches but even on 17 (I think, the one with water right playing 390 or something), I hit a miraculous approach off a steep hill but then missed the 6 foot birdie putt. Golf is funny.
Hopefully I can just play consistent golf over 3 rounds and give myself a chance.
Shout out to DHoff whom I played with, easily could have been -17 or -18 himself, great round man!

Iām putting my money on Graham Singer to be the one who puts a serious challenge to Sloaner week end week out. Dude is just good in the little of play he has had on the TGC Tours. Obviously he was good before he started the Tours. He rocketed his way up fast from Challenge Circuit-C to Platinum in no time. Iād still pick Sloaner to win the Champions Tournament this week though. Singer will be 2nd though with some good rounds.
