All I'm going to say (otherwise I'll get banned) is that @chrashbird needs to change his signature (the bit where he claims the worst course ever on the tours) Sorry Chris - you're not even in the same ballpark as this.
Bloody awful course - tricked up and stupid.
Finished -19 (from -10 at the cut) - good riddance.

Highlight this week; went in the water twice on the par 5 in round 1 and still made par...
Low point: everything else... (see previous post)
Another missed cut.
Best wishes Frans

Played a practice round last night. Very interesting choice of course with all of the newly promoted players coming up. Excited to see how this week goes

Certainly not my favourite course. Greens were a little silly in my view with some stupid pin positions. Don’t know how many good shots I hit that would have normally finished 10ft away that ended up off the green..... and what’s with only one par 5 🤷♂️
Was a bit of a grind by the end and can’t even remember what I ended up shooting

Newbie to Platinum here, finally made it to the promised land 😂 Looking forward for my first event. Played a practice round yesterday and the course is unique to say the least! Hopefully make a cut and then go from there but good luck to all this week 🏌️♂️

Man.....that course was not fun in any way. I think there’s courses that fit players’ eyes differently and then there’s courses that should be avoided. I think this falls into the latter....

Most unpleasant course I've played in a long time. Glad to see others agree. Greens were dreadfully sculpted. So in keeping with the majority of other courses we're forcefed, all in the name of trying to keep scores realistic.
Nice work.

Just glad to have made I it to platinum finally and looking forward to playing against all the best. I think my nerves got the best of my in round one, bust at least turned it around slightly in the next two. Need something amazing in round 4 now (Assuming-15 makes the cut) Good luck to everyone playing this week!

Hoping to bounce back from my first missed cut of the year and just a downright awful Platinum tour debut last week. First round with the PS5 and played very well. My 1st round score does not reflect that however with a -6 63. Missed 4 or 5 very makeable putts which really hurt as my proximity to the hole was 19 feet. 28 putts in round 1 smh. Greens are definitely interesting to say the least. Good luck to everyone this week. Gonna be interested to see the scores on this course.

I'm moving back to the states and will probably not be able to play for a couple weeks. Might be a good thing as this week really felt like a chore. Wish me luck spending 12+ hours on airplanes with a 6 month old and 2 year old trying not to catch the virus.
I am confident that I could go through the thread of courses rejected for the TGCT database and many of them would be more playable than this one. Seems like either the designer / scheduler brain trust is prioritizing aesthetics too much over playability or they don't really understand what types of shot values make a fun and fair challenge to the top players.

Good afternoon, What an exhausting grind this has been. I need to practice playing with full backspin. Usually, I don't comment on courses, as I don't consider myself being in the position to do so due to a lack of knowledge about course design basics. However, in my view, the problem with courses like this one lies in the fact that such designs seem to yield a loss of gradation of players' abilities in terms of approach shots. The slopes on these greens are such that, as soon as one misses the pin by a certain threshold, it doesn't matter anymore by how much the pin is missed. Because most of the times, a 12-15 yard uphill chip following a roll off the green due to a miss by a few feet produces the same result as a 20-40 yard splash or flop. Moreover, it follows that there are barely any possibilities for saving oneself by means of a long hero putt. I am not a big fan of such courses. However, outside of the official Platinum rounds, there are many options to play easier and less tricked up courses for pleasure. Thus, I consider playing these as part of the package that comes with being on the top flight. Cheers and good luck!

Updated, guess I need to try harder Thanks for the Maximum Daily guys for picking it the other day, even if the hardest tees weren’t used.
