Wk 5 is being held at The Patronus @ Sandpines Resort by TeeeJ9798 Seemed fitting as we are all going through a change of seasons in one direction or another.

The Patronus is a spectacle of vibrant colors which leave all golfers with an ache to return. The course is littered with the resort's signature dune-like waste bunkers which carve into the sides of slopes. The green complexes are elevated and covered in run-off areas of mowed down fairway. The course rests next to 2 small wetland areas to catch the eye. In addition, the course's white fescue lines many areas and brings out the colorful beauty of the course.

The course has 4 unique tee sets, rather than varying tee length, so weeks conditions are more extreme for Heaven & Hell.

I’ve certainly not played very well yet this season, so I’m hoping this week goes better.

That hell round was pretty tough. The winds plus my terrible tempo made for some interesting forest hikes. 12 / E for an obvious total of -12

This weeks rounds just confirm that I am one of the finest lag putters from inside 12ft in the game. It doesn't matter whether it is very slow or very fast, I can die them on the lip or shave them down either side at will. When you factor in the sub-conscious desire to reward the designers for placing bunkers in the landing areas by going an landing in them, it all adds up to a very mediocre -7/+8 for a +1 total for the week.

Heaven was about as okay as it could be. My tempo is garbage apparently, and it took me... what, 6 holes of warmup before I could actually do something? Finished with a damn bogey.

Hell was going okay, not bad, not that good either. Tons of missed tempo, because I suck. I had an eagle somewhere in there after a driver-driver combo that I absolutely nailed to perfection. My only big moment of weakness was in that drivable 4 with water. Took it safe from the tee, and then went in the drink once because I can't judge wind effect I guess, almost twice but got saved by the retaining wall the second time. My first putt maaaay have been stroke 5. I got killed at the end but didn't bleed badly enough to go back over par in total. That's good I guess?

I think I ran into the same problem on that same Par 4. I figured after I might as well have just smashed driver on the water.
