First I want to welcome all the new players that have been promoted to the Kinetic tour during the promotion event. Congratulations on not being good enough to get here through normal means. Let me introduce myself, I am Dan Sheehan, your new lord and master and must be obeyed at all times. Normally I prepare a "special event" for the week after a promotion event but this time I forgot, I guess it's your lucky day. Still, it's nice to see new blood here on the Kinetic, it just pushes me harder to think of new ways to spill that blood. As for the people that are leaving the kinetic tour because of promotion, screw you. How dare you leave the greatest tour in the world. Anyway, this week we are playing in a toilet. Hold on a second, one of my secretaries is tapping me on my shoulder. Ever since the great web.com class action law suit of 2018, I can't type a simple intro with out someone watching over me, I mean if there is ever another law suit, we can just change the name of the tour again and it won't cost a penny, it's been done twice before. Ok, it seems since the invention on indoor plumbing, places with holes in the ground are not considered toilets, unless its in Alabama, Dublin or the highlands on Scotland. So, this week we are actually playing golf somewhere just with a hole in the ground, and my God, what a hole in the ground it is. The damn thing is huge, this was not dug by three men with shovels, this looks like it was created by a nuclear bomb. I have to give a lot of credit to the designer minnelli for not only starting a new career as a course designer after a very long and successful music career but also getting hands on powerful explosives with out being arrested and by also creating one of the most visually stunning golf courses to be played in this tour over the past few years. I do suspect we may lose a couple of players this week, so if you do hear screams as they plummet to their deaths, try and not leave it put you off your game and as usual, tgctours, the kinetic tour and me, are not reasonable for any deaths, maimings and loss of limbs that may occur during this weeks event. Good luck all, and have fun.

This kind of course is extremely difficult to design because it has to properly balance the aspects of a very dramatic environment while maintaining the playability of a tour worthy course. Kevin did a remarkable job pulling this off, and I had a great time playing this event, so another fantastic Kinetic Tour pick from our lord and master.
With that said, I am highly likely to miss my 9th cut IN A ROW! I opened the tournament with a pretty solid -7 that realistically should've been a -10 (a three-putt and two missed birdies inside 6 feet). However, I wasn't too upset at that point because in the last few events I was barely -7 after two rounds, so I was optimistic I could go do that again. Unfortunately, my putter continued to be an ass hat in R2 and I only brought it in with a -3.
So here he is, journeyman pro Victor Lane, sweating out yet another cut. We shall wait to see what the scores are after R1 to start to extrapolate a projection, but that second round score is likely my trunk-slammer again. Every single week it's one of the two first couple rounds that makes me miss by a couple shots.
Here's your interesting stat of the year... despite missing the last 8 cuts, Victor Lane has never received a demo mark this year. We may have a lord and master, but Victor is the King of Mediocrity.
I played R3 and R4 because I enjoyed the course that much, even though they aren't likely to matter. I'm proud to say that I was able to play the same golf ball for all 72 holes, with nothing in the water or over a cliff.
Kudos to the designer again, that tournament was a blast to play!
65-69-68-69 = -17

3 under first round then on hole 2 of round 2 a slow downswing off the tee sent me down the cliff but the game didn't give me out of bounds until my 4th attempt at getting out which then meant I had nowhere to drop it... maxed out hole. Managed to hit 10 birdies that round for a -1 and -4 at the cut for a demo mark.... game's broken as @!$#

Hey guys, promoted up from CC-A the old fashion way. Looking forward to even harder competion. -9 in R1 and -8 in R2 is an OK start. A few of the holes broke wrong at the hole. It was frustrating but I'll deal. Good luck to everyone.

Hey all, pumped to be joining you from CC-C after the promotion event!
Course was beautiful. You guys have some pretty awesome taste I could get used to it up here!
Put together a solid tournament. 65/63/64/69 for a -27 under. Not exactly competitive but I’m pumped to be here and to compete with everyone

Close 2nd last week in CC-A got me back into the Pro circuit. Good to be back after battling up from CC-C over the last few months. Putter was really cold for the most part. Missed a 5 and 6 footer in Rd1. Lots of lip outs and quite a few smashed 10+ foot past the hole. -7 followed by -6 in Rd2 which had a few trickier pin placements. Crap putting again. Touch and go for the cut at this early stage. Cheers

I missed a few putts in my opening two rounds, and made a couple of messy bogeys in Rd 1. I'm happy overall. -21 after 36h.

Not on this tour but came by to give some props to this track. I liked it so much ended up playing all 4 rounds in one sitting. Remarkable how the designer kept such good playability with such a crazy looking environment.

Reading through the comments, it looks like I am going to have to play a few practice rounds on this one myself.

Finished -9 and -7 for -29 overall. Happy to not visit the canyon bottoms, particularly with the winds and pin placements in Rd4. Cheers and good luck

10:00am ET Tuesday Cut Line Projection 102 Players have started the tournament 83 Players have completed round 2 91 Players yet to tee off (based on 193 currently being on Kinetic Tour)
Average Round 1 score = 67.3 Average Round 2 score = 66.8
Round 2 playing half of a stroke easier vs round 1. With this being the week after the promo event we now have 193 on the Kinetic Tour. This throws a bit of a wrench in to my projections since I'm not sure how many folks will actually complete the first 2 rounds. For this week I assumed about 155 of the 193 will at least tee off (as of now 102 have).
I am showing the cut line to be -10 or better. Yours truly started out a bit slow with a -5 in round 1 but followed it up with a -9 in round 2 to get to -14 and most likely above the cut line. I also played round 3 (-5) and round 4 (-9) for a total of -28. My new goal is to get in to the top 10 of the money list!
I really enjoyed this course and agree with the comments above. It's a very fair and reasonable course despite being played in a canyon! Great design.
One question I am having trouble with - when I play my practice rounds I always set the greens to firm and fast since that is what we normally face. I find during practice rounds I am able to lag putts really well to within a few feet. As soon as the society event starts, I see greens are firm and fast, I play the same putts I did in practice and find my putts roll out much further. Is there another setting I am not checking that I should be? I made a handful of bogies this week because my putt ran out 10-15 feet past the hole.
