I have calibrated probably more than anyone, it’s a sickness. If I swing what I feel is perfect, I’ll get only the center point (wired). Next points left and right are fast/slow. I use clubs that are on the forgiving side also. So I have no choice but to swing a little harder than I’d like so the result is the left and right edges. This can become very annoying because sometimes ill have to calibrate repeatedly to find it. The best advice I can give anyone is if you find a calibration you like, one that works the majority of the time... don’t mess with it! No matter what, you will experience times the server will take control. It can vary on time of day. Sometimes what you feel is perfect will keep giving you fasts (or slows). It’s the server. Don’t go calibrate again every time this happens, you’ll end up like a dog chasing it’s tail. The calibrating will never end lol. Just try to adjust and maybe play a society that’s of lesser importance when it seems off. I keep flip flopping. You will need to recal when you switch from wired to wireless. Ever tried calibrating while wireless but then playing wired? A great player and reliable expert once explained that provided the most points. I’ve done that. Problem is I end up with weird points. For example, when I switch back to wired I’ll have the two edges of perfect but the left one will be a little inside and the right will be barely on. If I use any loft at all, that right point becomes a slow. So pretty much every shot I would only have one perfect point, and it not even being in the middle. As I said above, this is with more forgiving clubs too. Now, I’m not sure of the difficulty in hitting perfect having one point vs having two, but I can only assume two is better.

By the time I was done, I didn’t feel like playing anymore...what fun 😂. From now on... Thats what I'm sayin.... Took me nearly 2 days to get it back to polling in the middle of perfect and I'm nervous to try again. Problem is that now my red slow and red fast are so far off the mark that I'm getting crushed on any miss. It feels like there could be a better calibration but I don't wanna spend a few more days trying to figure it out. Side note for PS and PC players... Can you poll on perfect as well as the grey slow and fast? How many polling points can you hit on your calibration?

Really have no belief in this calibration now. Think I could spend all day on it and it wouldn't make any difference. One thing that is consistent is when I play a round the tempo seems to really slow down at some stage on the back 9. Not knowing exactly when the slows will kick in is the problem. One big slow can wreck the card and may be the difference between making the cut or not. Only other game I played with a calibration reset was one of the Tiger Woods, sometime around 2000. It was a fiasco too!

I trying and play every shot (yes my drive too) perfect tempo, and have pretty good success at doing so.. for the most part. I admit that the swing calibration seems questionable, but I am not willing to say it does not work at all. I was struggling the past week or so and went in and tried to speed my swing up in the calibration, and it did. I ended up going back about 3 more times between rounds and think I finally got it where I need it. The odd thing about swing calibration is that I find it very difficult to put into words what I am trying to accomplish, although I feel I do understand what it takes to get good tempo. Maybe I am crazy, but I do think that more than just the speed of the downswing matters. I notice that the tempo I bring it back on and the timing I release it on seems to effect the outcome of the tempo meter as well. If it does not, then please no one tell me any different because that seems to be working haha.
I will add, that when I do calibrate, I seem to have more success using a slow downswing. For some reason or another, the quicker I try and calibrate the swing, the more inconsistent it is for me.

Said I was done calibrating...but here we are again lol. Got a new controller for Xmas, so had to go back to the grind. Question - Can anyone definitively say that hitting perfect with only the center point is more difficult than having the two edge points? I’ve always just assumed two is better than one, but who knows. It’s extremely annoying having to calibrate over and over again, as I said previously my “perfect” swing seems to just give me the center only usually. I end up having to try to slam some of them in order to change it up, but even then it can take many attempts. Just wondering if it’s even worth it. jp44 Currently after calibrating this morning I have center perfect, to the left and right I have gray points just a bit outside the perfect zone. I also have a second point in gray on each side that can be hit, I have not checked if that’s true for all the clubs in my bag though. I would imagine the first red points are further out having the dial this way, which sounds like what you are saying about them being more devastating.

Ive noticed a few massive points with calibrating and it could help some of you alot. I play for perfects all the time but calibrating to get perfect on your irons makes you have a big red fast on driver. To calibrate for perfects on your irons. Best way on ps4 is to Change your driver to the 265 bridgestone with the most forgiveness. This will give you more chance of hitting perfects with the irons but if you slightly of you will miss both left and right. On ps5 its slightly different cos it is more accurate your better off not calibrating this way. Stick with ur big dog of choice. I calibrated hitting all perfects and its ultra sensitive. Consistency is really hard to come by. I have since calibrated hitting slight fasts on them all and i find it easier to hit perfect to grey fast or slow 95% of the time. If you want to hit a red fast you really have to gi after it. But by doing this your iron swing will favour slow. It takes a few rounds to get used to but this way you can have confidence that you rarely hit red fast with your irons. You can actually go after them a bit more and you will hit alot more perfects with your irons. Same with pitches. Because of this ive been able to up my iron set when ive been using the black hogan apex irons since early on to the gold mizuno jpx forged. With alot more confidence i wont hit red unless i want too.
There is one massive thing i have noticed with this game tho which is broken tho. If you bring the cursor back toward you and hit a perfect it will squirt to the right every time even if you bring it back 5 yrds it squirts it right if you hit it perfect.
Hope this helps you all a little bit!!!

I was hitting mostly fast off my drives so decided to play my driver at 280 down from the 295 for a slower tempo. It gives me better points and tempo but the ball does not do what it's supposed to do.

hippystein When you say it will give you more of a chance to get perfect on your irons, do you mean because the result of your calibration gives you these points? I noticed from watching a few holes of yours though that you were able to hit the edge perfect as well as the center. On mine when I have this calibration, nothing in between exists. In order to get this though, I can’t swing all 10 normally. It can take quite a few tries, as most often my result will be something like this : Now the center exists, but the next points are fast/slow. I think where my confusion lies is if you use this calibration, what happens if your swing speed is one that would fall in between that center and the points left or right. Because nothing in between exists, does the game just register it as whichever point is closer (thus significantly shrinking your perfect zone), or does anything that would fall in the white just show up as being in the center. Hope that makes sense lol.

I cpuldnt on ps4 but ps5 seems to populate where u hit it. If u noticed it polls in so many more places than it does on ps4 mate.
