4 wins in 7 events. I'm guessing they're pretty good is the reason why. What's crazier to me is someone in the CC-H Tour shooting -33. Based on projections, he'll go from the CC-H Tour to Elite. That's a significant difference in quality of competition week to week. I wonder if it’s somebody who qualified late and has been moving up from the bottom. If so, this is a great example of the promo events balancing out the field quicker than the regular promotion system.

The person in question has a current World Golf Ranking of 160, having played on the Elite tour last year and the year before, and Platinum before that. Looks like he struggled in Q school and has been moving through the lower divisions since, so yeah I would agree that this is a great example of what the promo events should be doing.

It was kind of interesting to me - I have no interest in moving up from Kinetic so I decided not to play the promo. Then I got bored at about 3:15 EST this afternoon and decided to speed play all four rounds just to see how I stacked up. I wound up quitting before my final putt in round four because I do not want to hurt anyone else's chance for promotion, but that putt would have put me at -28 for the event, which is projected by soothsayer Jeff above to be the Kinetic cut-off. So I guess I am where I should be .

There are a lot of players who had decent 1st round scores that never finished. So all of those players below them will move up in the final standings.
And for players who do not want to move up from their current tier or Tour what is the huge deal? If you do you just continue to play the best that you can and see where the chips fall each week then eventually it settles and people fall into place.
Do you think in real life a Korn Ferry player would rather stay in that Tour instead of the PGA Tour because they can compete and make more cuts in the Korn Ferry Tour than playing the PGA Tour? Heck no, you strive to do the best that you can.
I’ll always play my hardest each week and if CC-L is the best that I can do then so be it. But I’ll always be determined to move up.
That is a reason why I decided to play True Sim Tournaments each week. I knew a lot of Platinum and other Pro Tour players were there and my goal was just to see how I can do there. It has been a struggle but I continue to play there and determined to get better.
I’m always at the bottom each week but that is ok. I have to see if I can improve. Well, I started my 1st Round last night and was at -2 through 7 and was gaining more confidence. I was at around -2 going to the 14th or 15th hole and had an errant shot that went into the OB. And that course, Barbougle Dunes is full of red OB on each hole and when you land there you think you are OK but you are OB. So in that particular hole I had a good drive and was had about 210 left. My shot goes wide right and I had to take a drop. All of my hard work up to that point was somewhat ruined on that one bad shot as my window is tight as it can fall apart fast in True Sim for me. My -2 Went to EVEN but I had to forget about it and move on to the next hole.
I stabilized and didn’t fall completely apart like I had done in the past after a bad hole and finished at a respectable 73, a +1and for me that is good especially with all of the 80s and 90s that usually fill my scorecard there.
i know I have another round, conditions change, more of the better players play and the cut could be -6 or whatever but I was happy that I had improved. So I’ll go into Round 2 and try my best and see where the chips fall.

So how is this actually determined? Do we get promo marks based off placement? Or do people get assigned tours based off scores kinda how the qualifying events go? I’m currently on elite tour with no promo or demotion marks and I shot -38 in the promo event. Wondering if that’ll put me on platinum It's like the qualifying events. You shoot a good enough score and you are promoted up to a tour above you. Looking at the projections above that state -37 is the projected score to get to Platinum, you may be promoting up for next weeks' events with a -38 score. Later on Sunday night there is likely be a post here stating the results. There will also be an email sent if you are promoted as well. I finished -37 and T17. I'm on elite tour with a couple of demotion marks. Wondering if it's enough to get me on the Platinum Tour

Just a reminder of how this all goes down.
1. Finalize the week just ending 2. People are promoted/demoted based off the week just ending 3. Your tour card for promo event is locked in now (it may have changed based on what was displayed all week) 4. Promo event processed/finalized (this can come out a few hours after the week's finalized - lot of manual work and need a data dump from Tim before I can start)

Note 1: Capped the promotions at 15-over par - had to shoot that or better to be eligible Note 2: 21 spots on CC-K and 54 spots on CC-L were not filled - these will be available via this week's Qualifying event - normally only 80ish cards available via Qualifying, this week there should be closer to 150+. Here's the summary chart If you're looking vertically - you are seeing where everyone came from that landed on that tour If you're looking horizontally - you are seeing where everyone promoted to from that tour

Congrats to everyone moving up circuits. I move from CC-B to Kinetic, which is what my end goal was to be this season so I am very pleased

I wonder when you can be considered to be in the “right” division. Is it when you make the cut 50% of the time but never by enough to get demotion marks? Or you make the cut 100% of the time bt never by enough to get promotion marks? Or somewhere in between?
