First promotion event, so forgive me if this is obvious/already answered: is it possible to be demoted? I'm stuck in the middle of CC-B right now. I made the cut every week for the first 4 weeks, but I've missed the cut every week for the last 4 weeks. Not sure what it is. I could use a demotion I think. I'm sitting at -6 after 1.5 rounds for this event. You cannot be demoted from your play in the promotion event. It's effectively a freeroll.

Okay then! Shouldn't be the end of the world unless I end up moving up to CC-A. Canuck's courses are always very playable, so I tend to do better on them than others. Some of the CC courses have been very tight, which is where I struggle.

Promo event Round 4
Tour / Current CUT Score R4 (1436 entries on the board)
PLT / -37 ELT / -32 KIN / -28 CCA / -25 CCB / -23 CCC / -20 CCD / -17 CCE / -15 CCF / -11 CCG / -8 CCH / -4 CCI / -1 CCJ / +7 * NOTE: Typical promotion is to shoot better than +10, but has been E in past events.. CCK / +10 * NOTE: Typical promotion is to shoot better than +10, but has been E in past events.. CCL N/A
Above is approx. 450 total promotions..
My guess is final cut scores may be +/- a stroke or two - but this should be pretty close. There are still quite a few that haven't posted R4 scores yet. Good Luck to all in your new tours should you gain a promotion!!

How does someone play in only about 6 events in their career, and then come out and beat everyone in a promo event by over 10 strokes!

Sunday night, you would get a email confirming your new promotion. At least, that's what usually happens

Finished off my R4 back 9 at -5.
-10/-7/-9/-9
In the clubhouse at -35.
Good enough for T24th at the moment but will drift down a little bit I'm sure in the end.
(Good enough for 2nd of the long suffering XBers).

So how is this actually determined? Do we get promo marks based off placement? Or do people get assigned tours based off scores kinda how the qualifying events go? I’m currently on elite tour with no promo or demotion marks and I shot -38 in the promo event. Wondering if that’ll put me on platinum

You shoot a good enough score and you are promoted up to a tour above you. Looking at the projections above that state -37 is the projected score to get to Platinum, you may be promoting up for next weeks' events with a -38 score. Later on Sunday night there is likely be a post here stating the results. There will also be an email sent if you are promoted as well.

Just played my first full round on the series x since the update and had a practice on the promotion event and finished-10! Then went on to play for real and another -1 like the third round and through four sitting at +4. It was the second round that let me down and went -2 +8 -1 -1. Who knows and that might move me up one from K to J and let’s see. Good luck all 👍

I'm guessing they're pretty good is the reason why. What's crazier to me is someone in the CC-H Tour shooting -33. Based on projections, he'll go from the CC-H Tour to Elite. That's a significant difference in quality of competition week to week.
